Love the quilt! Love the vase! Just a tip, I starch my fabric, cut it out, dab washable school glue along the edge of applique, iron in place to dry the glue. Stitch as you wish. No Heat and Bond needed. It will all wash out and be as soft as the rest of the quilt. Thank you for all you do!

Thanks for showing us your method of fusing your appliqué pieces! I had heard of using only the outline, but didn’t know exactly how to do it! This will come in handy since I don’t like the stiffer feeling of appliqué on my quilts. I had been admiring your stars quilt for a while! I really like it! So glad you are making it!

Love, love, love your applique technique!! I do the traditional needle turn and like that, too, But today you showed us a nice way to do fusible. I have always avoided fusible because it seemed so heavy. Your technique throws that part "out the window"!!! Thank you so much for all you do for us. You are a true joy for quilters!

I use Heat N Bond in the red package and it doesn't gum up my needle ever. I just use whatever Heat N Bond is nearest reach 😅 because I have both red and purple 😂😂😂

Kaffe said that in England, they give templates for squares, etc. because they use metric but a lot of quilt patterns are in inches. (Templates aren't either.)

For my very first quilt I am making a Dresden. I did not cut each Dresden the same width .. some are wider than others. The video calls for 20 dresdens to make 1 plate. I am short one so it is okay if I use 21 for each plate?
