What a beautiful place. Somewhere to visit and pretend all is well with the world. Thanks for taking us along.

We'll, unfortunately that's the best we can do at the moment. Such strange times! Thanks for watching and stay safe!

Gosh this video was a nice surprise. I grew up across the road from Airfield. Of course in the 1960s it was still a family home and the two Overend sisters Letitia and Naomi were well known in our Dundrum village in their Rolls Royce. I was more interested as a child in their cows. They had the most glorious herd of Jersey cows with their huge long lashes and gentle temperaments. Great memories.

What a small world! I also grew up in Dundrum in the 1960s and 1970s, in Balally. I bet you went to St Anne's Secondary School too?

@@GardeningatDouentza I went to school a bit further afield. I went to Sion Hill school from Junior school to 3rd year secondary school and then to Our Lady's Grove in Clonskeagh for Inter Cert and Leaving Cert. But small world indeed, we were literally a 5 minute drive from each other! We seem to have more in common than just our love of gardening!

Great colourful pollinator friendly flowers there. Also wow, so much ornamental grass in places in that garden that it almost looks like you are on a coastal sand dune complex, especially with the use of the sea aster like flowers at 8:36 with the ornamental grasses.

Ornamental grasses are so great in a mixed border. I just love them too. Thanks for watching and have a great evening.

Aw, thank you so much, Wanda. It's nice to remember sunny colourful times this weather. I had a great break, thank you, and hope you did too ☺️

Thank you Rachel that was a breathtaking visit to a beautiful garden. I loved the airiness of the planting and the colour palette was gentle but vibrant. Finishing off with the rusty sleeper metal edge and all the orange flowers. Thank you let's return again 😁

Airfield is such a beautiful garden and it really inspired so much in me. We will definitely go back. Thank you for coming along and have a great weekend

What a feast for the eyes on this blustery wet day. Needs viewing several times to take in all the riches of texture, colour and form. Thank you for this treat!

Glad you enjoyed the visit. Yes, there was so much to see that it is hard to do the gardens justice in a video. Many plantings are only given three second clips to stop the video being too long!

What a beautiful and peaceful looking place to stroll and sit to ponder. Thanks for sharing this tour. Everything here in NNY State is under a thin blanket of snow with more falling today. Can't wait until spring. Take care!

Our climate this winter is starting align with Zone 9, last week I spotted a field of Rapeseed in full bloom(got a great snap of it), plus daffs are in flower here on the Suir too. Those pinks in the cold borders really pop, beautiful. Noticed your comment on the tender plants, couldn't you dig up tenders and put them in the greenhouse until springtime? Amazing gardens, have to visit next summer.

Yes, we are having a super mild winter all over Ireland so far but maybe it's about to change. Airfield is a wonderful garden and I hope you get to see it next summer. Happy growing!
