Whenever I have one of those tubs, they always end up filled with ice and beer... I like the screen/irrigation hose idea - cheap, easy and it works for leaves and bugs. Can't wait to see these tubs grow.

LoL, so gangsta at 0:38 and 10:26 Never summer tubbed here in MN. Summer lasts about two weeks. Not sure it’s worth it. Tub rack turned out good. Looking forward to see what you put in them and how they do. The screens on the top seems like a good idea. It will sure cut into the available sunlight though.

We get black feed tubs from our local cattle farmers for free, we have tubs that are over 12 yrs old and they do not get brittle. If you want to save money check with people who have cows.covers are a necessity to keep out frogs!

Maybe you mentioned it, do you have to worry about keeping the water oxygenated? You probably have to dechlorinate and do water changes like normal I assume?

I would think so but I’m going to do some trial and error with some even warmer water species and keep track of temp. Last winter was a little colder than normal so we shall see

Don’t blame you, your tubs seem to be doing fine as is. Good point on the bugs, might keep one screen to test it and then do some light feeding. You were definitely one of my inspirations with this one.

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "how to make a shrimp farm" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Eenva Harrowing Eradicator - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to start a shrimp farming business without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my neighbour got cool results with it.
