Summer Wells Search: We Finally Know Where Roy Cotton Simpson Fell - My Laurel Run Journey

In this video I'm going to review my entire Laurel Run investigation from start to finish, and why we now believe we know exactly where Roy "Cotton" Simpson fell, and where the mythical "cave" is located. By the time this video airs, we'll have already visited the location and hopefully found it.

Gosh Ryan, she could be anywhere out there. It is so vast and wild. I didn't realise how wild. When the searchers were talking about how difficult it was, I really have an appreciation for what they meant now.

I admire your perseverance Ryan... but honestly, I can't see ANYONE going through that much trouble to hide Summer... it's a public place... they'd basically be going in blind, not knowing who could be out on the trails... I can't imagine Cotton (or anyone else) carrying her all the way out there... IMO, it's waaaay too risky... You make a good point. Unlikely someone would go to far with a body. My feeling, when Summer got home after spending a fun time swimming with H, her brothers weren't paying attention to her so she went off to play in water somewhere. The dogs probably followed her that's why they weren't around. Not sure how fast moving the creeks are near the house. The neighbor JS said as soon as Summer came up missing the first place she went was to the creek in the direction she heard the scream. She also said while looking around the creek she saw the the boys looking there too, the mother was also there asking the boys what did you do? what did you do with Summer? From interviews I watched people said they had a lot of rain and the creek was higher than usual? JS also said while walking down the creek another neighbor appeared out of nowhere and he started looking for Summer too. Then she went on to say the reason she was walking in the water, that way search dogs wouldn't pick up her sent and didnt want to confuse them. Seemed like an odd statement to make because at that point Summer had just gone missing, 911 had not been called yet. That tells me JS knows those kids wonder off and one is now lost. Not sure if there's foul play in this, the father said in earlier interviews the dogs were gone for days. Did they follow the searcher back? Her footprints were found in different locations west of her house. Just seems more probable she got lost in the woods and hasn't been found.

@@goldengirly8674 My opinions on a few things...The creek wasn't high at the time, just enough to cover your feet... a couple of inches maybe... Can'tcan't (depending on what you choose to believe) told CM it was barely enough to get wet or do anything with... Candus had said in an interview with Rogersville Review or Times News that she had asked a neighbor to help her look but didn't say who do that could've been who JSB saw... JSB made a lot of weird comments... but yes, the one about her feet in the creek was odd... because of the search dogs and she was trying to rid her scent... I don't think those were Summer's footprints... nothing to compare to... I know some have said that the dogs alerted to her scent but if that's true, why would they ask the property owner what size their kids feet were on a scent alert... doesn't make sense and LE hasn't confirmed either that I know of or have heard... IF Summer made it home and out of the truck that day I could see accident because of a brother... So much confusion because of the lies!!! Summer just needs to be found!!!

Yeah, most people didn't know that I've been searching since the beginning of last year, mostly because I didn't publicly admit what I was doing until mid-year because I realized I needed the public's help, locals help, and my wife's help! I'm glad our efforts bring some comfort. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack but we're not planning on giving up any time soon.

Definitely - it's known that Cotton was an avid hiker and outdoorsman, and very fit. He spent a lot of time in the woods.

Thank you! I can't think of a single missing child case where drama turned up the location of a child. It's difficult not to watch it (kind of like how people need to see a car wreck), but at the end of the day none of that is going to help Summer get justice. So each weekend, we turn off KZbin, get focused and geared up, and do whatever we can on the real streets to keep looking for that needle in a haystack and praying for a miracle.

I think that cemetery is spot on where the Simpson family are buried and many other familiar surnames surrounding bays mountain ⛰️ and nearby to where roy cotton simpson was living..also,his dad is buried in that cemetery probably a lot of his ancestors are there..i look forward to seeing your upcoming video #nicework 👍

I found the 2016 clip of Mr Simpson's wildfire rescue interesting where the reporter said Cotton didn't have any plans to go in the woods again, 7:41 but we know he eventually did. I can't help but think of Don Wells' words about the downfall of loving the outdoors pertaining to Summer. Sure sounds like a CLUE, doesn't it. Best wishes for your and Jen's next hike!

As I listened to this video, I kept thinking of the downfall video too. There’s a chance she’s alive . I’m not giving up on that, just because others can’t imagine all the possibilities. Maybe her spirit is strong and her upbringing has conditioned her for survival? God performs miracles everyday. 🙏 Don’t give up on her because God never gives up on us. He can also change hearts and minds . Native Americans have survived centuries in the wilderness. Indigenous peoples survive in the arctic. A child is worth every effort in society. It is our duty to not give up. 🙏 These lousy parents should be conditioning themselves to climb every crevice imaginable. Though the mother says , “ she had to put her to the side.” Prayers their hearts and minds change too.

Cotton Simpson's grandson is my great grandson (paternal) side. Cotton was a good man and was not capable of hurting a child. In his life he had 5 aneurysm surgeries due to blood clots on his brain. I pray people will let him rest in peace and his lil man is not bothered. In a very short time span he lost his maternal great grandfather, maternal grandmother, and his maternal grandfather. Prayers for them.

When Madeline Kingsbury disappeared, my vision I had led me along a steep metal roof that reminded me of a church with brick color like walls. I looked to my right as i edged along this steep pitched roof to see a room open with a blue color wall like cement sealant, and a dirt floor. There were some very old dining room chairs in there that resembled tombstones. This room made me think it was a water pump house.

I personally have 2 theories: •first something accidently happened and Don hid her body somewhere no one would look or friends helped dispose of body •or two the reason this case is cold is because someone in the community thought they were saving Summer and she’s alive living in a new identity safe

Beech creek is a very rough community in general. Poor summer lived a very very hard life.

I don't know what to think of it as being an area where a person would hide little Summer 😢 if there are trails to the waterfalls, that would be a reason that people might hike the area? Yes, especially the Logger Falls area is hardly ever hiked to. The trail there is very overgrown and not maintained.

They immediately cut off all communications the moment he texted me the details I mentioned about the location of the cave so you're probably right. I just don't understand why they'd care if someone knows the location if they've already found it and cleared it.

I just have so much hope that she can be alive. Keep looking for all the signs and don’t dismiss anything as crazy. @@Pinkvictors Oh he hadn't communicated with her either during that time period after they removed visitation privileges except after a week or so of complete silence he he was able to start calling out on the regular phone (that was how I received the final piece of information about the church). It appears he's received privileges back since they're talking again now.

I’ve often wondered if Laurel Falls is where “it” actually happened, not warriors. I think she may have fallen and had a head injury. We’ve covered the milk jug video several times and looking at Summer it appears she has a serious injury to left temple and a bruised or bloody right ear that’s lying on the milk. Then there’s the reddish stain on the jacket that’s obvious. Seems grandus has told more truths than Don or CANDUs. And I don’t think Summer made it out of the truck. So, either Summer fell or someone badly assaulted her imo. I think Andy B was called in by Don to assist with pain meds for her and/or burial.

The way I understood him u went thru the water fall ad the cave was behind it. U dt walk around the back side to get in to the cave. Water fall itself AND BEHIND THE FALLA THERE THE CAVE U WOULD NOT KNOW ITS THERE UNLESS U STAND IN THE FALLS ITSELF THE CAVE IS BEHIND IT HOW I understood Fred to say

I had this really strange dream about summer there was this old guy with broken teeth and he drove a white truck and something about a old bridge that you can drive under there is very little traffic there , i dont know i have never been in the area where Summer had lived but i had this dream and i felt like i needed to mention it
