I relocated back to Nigeria after 15 years in the UK. This was one of the best decisions of my life. My children are happy and thriving. Just like Sumner said, I found peace in Nigeria. I know most people don't understand it, the self discovery and awakening I have had in Nigeria is undescribable. At the end of the day, home is where the heart is. I know many of you living abroad might feel worried when you hear about the security issues in Nigeria. It's easy to feel discouraged, especially when you compare it to a well-structured environment abroad. For those who may be considering returning to Nigeria, let's approach it not as a daunting challenge but as a homecoming filled with endless possibilities. We can contribute our expertise, passion, and commitment to building a Nigeria that we can all be proud of. We have to embrace our patriotism and remember that we are the ones who will change the narrative about Nigeria. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for our country, knowing that our collective efforts today will shape the Nigeria of tomorrow.

@joyceadenekan5672 *I will always say... look around you, what problem are people having, try and find the solution and monetize it. *Choose an idea that aligns with your interests and skills, and don't be afraid to take the plunge. Whilst in the UK, my husband and I established our business, which gave us the flexibility to relocate to Nigeria. There are also business opportunities in Nigeria. Depending on your business model, once it is set up and established, you can get good managers to run it whilst you oversee. You do not have to be physically available, so location can not be a barrier. You can operate from any part of the world. Relocating to Nigeria is such a big move, but it is worth it.

not only those living in Nigeria but those who recently japa'd. People whose stay abroad is for 10 years and below so they haven't started experiencing what I call Abroad Fatigue. They are the ones that keep posting endless pictures on SM and motivational talks about the abroad life. After many years abroad that phase will pass and you will burn out and then they start to realize home is where it is.

@@christianabu8447l cannot agree more 💯. I have been living in diaspora since 1979. I went to Nigeria in 2022 on holiday after so many years. I have never been happier in my life it's like a child in a candy 🍭 stores. I spent a beautiful, peaceful, restful, tourism time, happiest, networking, time of my life. On my return back to diaspora, l cried at the airport to the extent that people were asking what was wrong with me. Even though I own my own massive home. Children have their own homes and good jobs. With all the aboved that l have acquired single handedly I am not particularly happy with life here as much as the holiday period l spent in Nigeria. I looked forward everyday to returning to Nigeria, it's my utmost dream right now. Here abroad, it's work and work pay bills and shut yourself in doors most of the time. As I am not the type that goes round collecting friends. I don't keep loads of friends here, l have a handful of friends who love their jobs like me, ways to keep ourselves busy most of the time. One day, l pray that my heart desires to return to the motherland will happen very very soon. Thank GOD for Summer's return, l am so so happy for her. I envy her a bit though😁😘

My uncle lived in Austin, Texas for 37 years from 1983-2020. He tells me this "that he's free from racism" and he "feels differently and gratifying being home". There's nothing abroad because you remain a stranger and lonely. There's no place like home. You shouldn't be where you're not wanted or loved because of the colour of your skin. I love this country despite our short comings and lack of quality leadership amongst the people leading this country. I believe that one day things will be better. Don't run to anywhere run home

Best decision ever. I relocated to Nigeria when my son turned 5 and we were there for 10 good years before coming back with him to the UK to complete the rest of his education. I can tell you it was the best 10 years of our lives. I am rounding up now to come and settle finally. One thing that has never gone viral on SM is people returning back home, a lot of people are returning. For me there is no place like home when I moved to the UK at the age of 23 I have always had the mind of returning and that is why I stayed focused and achieved all my dreams now am 57 and I just want to go and retire and start living like the Queen that I am. Mind you Obodo Oyinbo is not running any where I can always come whenever I wish. At this stage of my life there is nothing as good as living both worlds. Enjoy Nigeria and I shall be joining you soon😀

I am a Cameroonian based in US, every time I visit home, I always feel sick when my time to come back to America is near. And I always reschedule my flight over and over before I finally return. Even when I return, it will take me time to readjust in America eventhough I have lived here for over 20yr. I think Africa is calling all of us to come back home. You're so right, life is by stages and it's like a pregnant woman, what you craved for yesterday you won't want it today, what you used to like or love doing, you not liking them or interested anymore and to me there's nothing wrong with it and I'm loving it. Summer thank you for sharing coz I was in the state of dilemma thinking if I was really ok, but vy me seeing your video talking about you not liking or want to do certain stuff anymore makes me feel better 🙏❤️

I left Toronto Canada for tanzania over fifteen months ago and haven't looked back. I can relate to everything you said. I was born in the Caribbean, and I went to Canada to Canada for thirty-four years. In the last few years in Canada, I suffered anxiety and panic attacks and mood swings constantly. There are times I don't even know how I got through the day. All of a sudden, I had the urge to come to Africa, and I listened to my spirit. I came to tanzania not knowing anyone here and where I was going. The moment I touched the soil of Africa, I felt my healing. Not once did I suffer an anxiety attack or a panic attack. I felt great, I came alive. I went back to Toronto after three weeks, and boom, it started. Toronto became so unattractive that I knew I had to get out to save my life. Four months later, I was back in tanzania for a month. You have no idea how it felt being back here. I went to Toronto and started the year countdown. In early 2023, I left Canada, and I am having the best time. Fifteen months later, I only had two anxiety attacks. Never say never, but I am not leaving Africa, nothing. Truly, I'm scared to leave. I can say without a doubt that if I didn't leave Canada, I would be dead by now. Being in Africa has saved my life

Welcome home Summer! I have been here in Naija unable to Japa just because I can’t get myself to leave this land. It is a tough place to live in for obvious reasons, but it is home, it anchors you and grounds you. The vibe, the food, the weather, community, tradition, culture etc… this is where we belong at the end of the day. Welcome home.

@alex3walexband3w19 I was referring to Nigerian leaders,if you're in Rwanda and the leaders are doing good for the people, good for you. Nigerian leaders have no plans to change as I type this today July 23rd 2024 I just sent more money back home,it's now $1500 in the last 6 months. People are suffering.

Me, too. my blood pressure returns back to normal, and my chronic pain disappears when i am visiting Nigeria. I don't take any medication, period. But as soon as my flight ✈️ touched down John F Kennedy International Airport New York, the blood pressure flies back up. The West is toxic to our bodies. I am trying to move permanently to Abuja next y😢ear, biko. I CAN'T WAIT. Once successfully relocated to Nigeria. I don't plan to visit the United States in 3-5 years. I would need that amount of time to heal spirit, soul, and body.
