That was a lot of fun! I look forward to seeing more tours. I've seen the tree sweaters at times....down around Asbury Park, NJ (?)...and in Frenchtown, NJ. It's a very cute idea that adds whimsy and puts a smile on your face. That's a great plant shop..so many plants and pots. How nice that you carry birdseed..and feed the pigeons. It's much better than bread, which is more filler than nutrition. The seed is much better for them. Thank you, Summer.

Going to a garden center/ greenhouse always lifts my spirit in the winter. Went two days ago just to enjoy all the plants and warm sun. The wind was howling but it was toasty warm and cheery in all the greenhouses. Got to see a lot of young propagations and seedlings growing for spring and summer sales. Did buy a pot and saucer for an English ivy topiary that I created this winter. Love these tours! Nice shoes, Summer!

Even though I’m way up here in the Bronx, and I have plenty of garden shops near me or in Westchester Co., I occasionally drive out there to visit friends that I went to high school with in Fort Greene. My Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana died on me. It got a powdery mildew that just spread over the entire plant in a short period of time and there was nothing I could do to save it. I pruned, repotted, neemed it, wiped it down...nothing. Then when I thought I could save it, my dad broke the pot that plant was in and it shattered on the pavement so I took that as a sign to let it go lol!

Do you (or any of you who sees this) have a suggestion on a hanging plant which doesn’t need much sun? I have a hook in the middle of the living room in which I want to hang a plant. The problem is that the hook is like 2 metres from two rather big southwest facing windows and some shadows from the trees outside.
