My understanding is that Hillebergs can be double poled. I know it's a little extra weight, but well worth it as an extra safety precaution. Excellent video! ✌️🇨🇦

JSYK, Dime is the smallest, then Penny, Nickel, and then quarter or half dollar are both similar. Half dollar might be slightly bigger. Another great video Andy!

Brilliant video. The first of yours I've seen do you've earned one more subscriber. 😂. Properly entertaining even when just talking bollocks in the tent. Also that's a beast of a tent. But even the strongest tent is only as strong as its weaket peg so I've started double pegging (ooo eerr) and laying rocks on them even if the weather is good. Just settles the mind a bit.

Cheers! You're dead right, a lesson learnt. One of the guy lines came loose in the night and I'm sure that wouldn't have happened if they were double pegged. Also got some 9" Eastons ordered and some Delta pegs so we shouldn't have that problem again. Cheers for the advice.

@baldandoutdoors let us know what you think of the deltas when you've had a few trips with them. I've got 4 but I hardly use them even though I carry them up every mountain. I find the Eastons are way better. They go in the ground more easily around the rocks and just seem more secure to me.

DID THAT WALK last year! and camped on bleaklow area great area to camp but very boggy to get to etc! doesnt look like that area got that much snow! edale was cover almost parts were wasit deep!

So it's not strictly legal anywhere other than Scotland or Dartmoor. However it's a civil issue so not really a massive deal. Although if you follow the unwritten rules of - arrive late, leave early and leave no trace of where you've been, you're going to be fine 99% of the time. The best thing to do is pitch up late and leave early. Oh and don't go to the most obvious spots in the area. Just a bit higher up and you'll be fine.

PPP springs to mind. Poor choice of camp site, poor navigation and bad place for a 1st winter camp. As a note 60 MR volunteers were needed to get one casualty off from Hern Stones last weekend! Also why swear?

I didn't think it would be long before Edmund Hillary turned up. Thankfully it's a place I know well so could get down safely. If my auntie had wheels she'd have been a bike. Thankfully I didn't need MR. Cheers for the comment though!

@@baldandoutdoors Having been an active hill member of a MR team round this area I know the conditions etc. If you had started your video with that information etc might have helped. Too many people attempt kinder and Bleaklow without the right equipment and knowledge due to following KZbin videos. I noticed several people in at the crash site did not have gear with them!

@@angelaknisely-marpole7679 I don't disagree that it's more dangerous than going in August. I did mention in the video that I've been there multiple times previously. I also don't disagree there were people up there completely unprepared. Some in shorts and trainers. Appreciate your feedback though
