What is the "truth" about female teams? That any pro guy can put on a wig like Juana man and own the entire league?

People are so stupid. You should watch him more than once. You can actually see him being as impactful as he is on LAN and other matches often. It is just that he doesnt play his role. He often plays with awp and tries out new stuff. so pls
@jmanj0sh
@jmanj0sh 8 жыл бұрын
+Ta Ziel Yeah, he's definitely trying to improve on the roles he isn't already good enough on. Olof isn't the best in the world at any particular role, there is very few people better with rifles, WAY better awpers, etc etc etc. Olof is just good at everything though, and way more knowledgeable about the game.

+Justain Collazo "b-b-but I play worse when i play more cs!" that's because NA attention spans are shit, and they start to lose focus after 5 pugs. They never realize that they can actually condition themselves to train 8 hours a day. Mentally they're out of shape and that imo is the biggest reason why they're still so far behind. The lazy get lazier.

+SpikyTortoise Thats a fair statement but think about the reality. Summit could probably compete AND still perform better than most NA teams. It's a pretty method for NA teams and that's if you aren't giving your 100% into a game, you can't expect to beat a Tier 1 EU team e.g. Fnatic, Natus Vincere

Swag, Dazed, and steel, are like constantly consistent, I think that because they're banned, they want nothing more than to play. Swag, hasn't played professionally for a while right, but he is arguably still the best in na (fpl) without team practice he truly loves csgo you can just tell by the way he takes everything so seriously and the decisions in game and, he is never looked at as a weak link people look forward to having him on the team more so than probably anybody.

+OZDropBear you don't think they deserve it because of their personalities tho, which obviously you can't judge them on CS wise
@rse617
@rse617 8 жыл бұрын
thekamotodragon No its because they still to this day don't seem to understand the severeness of there actions, They play it off like it was no big deal and they copped a raw deal. swag on the other hand could be a great asset to NA cs and understands what he did was wrong and is extremely remorseful for it. He may be younger but hes more mature about it than DaZeD and steel combined.
@thekamotodragon
@thekamotodragon 8 жыл бұрын
OZDropBear i mean tbh i don't care they did it, nor do i think it's worth a perma-ban, they should all have the opportunity to get back but valve fucked them over one mistake that they all made TOGETHER, so to say they deserve it is imo wrong, and to say one deserves an unban while others don't is also imo wrong, they all regret what they did equally, and they only regret it at all in the first place because they got caught, look at skadoodle he doesn't say anything about it, not even sorry, even though he got lucky he didn't actually get the skins for his throw and therefore didn't get banned for throwing, also im curious how you see dazed and Steel as more conceited than Swag as they all clearly regret their actions deeply, everytime they talk about it on stream you can feel the regret from all 3, and they are all still dedicated to the game and determined to be good even when banned, i mean all 3 have been #1 Fpl at one point or another, so i just don't see how your selective unbanning isn't about your dislike for Dazed/Steel personalities

I've met and talked to the manager for C9's DOTA 2 team and the upper management relationship between their CSGO team and their DOTA team. Of course, in terms of players, the upper guys don't seem to have anything to do with the players on a more intimate level, though the manager I met was walking around a lot and I didn't see him with the team much (unless in a locker room where I couldn't get into). The guys in suits are more or less the ones who probably set up schedules of events and deal with finances if the team places. But I'm not an expert on the management of eSports, and I didn't inquire C9's manager about their practice methodology or off-time activities, so I could be talking out my ass here. I've only met and chatted with a single manager of a single team (and the DOTA 2 C9 isn't NA, soooo...).

Most League pros actually play around 10 to 12 hours a day, most of them have stated. They have scrims against rival teams for like six hours to eight hours and then they do strategy meetings, and -then- they que up to play. That's a lot of effort to put in, more than most regular jobs. I'd be dead on my ass after that.

After watching Optic completely choke two games they should have won last night, this seems like a fairly accurate representation of NA CS teams. I don't know about how much all players actually play, but the gap between the top EU and top NA teams is pretty sizeable, and that can't be just all about pure skill.

League teams put in 8+ hrs in soloQ on no practice days and even on practice days they do play it to stay sharp and just keep up to date and shit.

Plus they have coaches, analysts, and a whole support staff whose job is to be on top of the meta, know what priority to have going into pick/ban, and relay all that to the players. It's getting closer and closer to "real" sports level of commitment now that there's enough money. Maybe with Majors being worth more things can start changing for CS as well.

@bishwhat6554

The only NA team that I respect is Luminosity Gaming. Fer, FalleN, FNX, Taco, and Coldera spend countless hours playing Counter-strike. They are working really hard compared to the lazy ass North American Teams. If you watch the Luminosity games, you can notice how strategic they play Counter-Strike. On the other hand, other NA teams just run around looking for aim duels instead of playing as a team. I am pretty sure teams like Cloud 9, CLG, Liquid and TSM do not even know the amount of smokes/flashes/mollies compared to Luminosity. But the number one reason why my favorite player is FalleN because he is a really nice guy and an amazing In Game Leader. He even used his own salary to get people from Brazil to join Tempo Storm. Which is not really heard of in E-Sports and in regular sports.

+kyle poper You can't say they're the only ones in NA trying. There's definitely others but they're stuck on shitty teams (roca from compLexity for example).
@jmanj0sh
@jmanj0sh 8 жыл бұрын
+kyle poper Hiko doesn't play as much as he used to. You're obviously right about sg@res, that's the reason he left c9, he was the only one researching stuff about other teams. I think players like shroud put in alot of time into individual play, but not as much team stuff.
@Moseshypnosis
@Moseshypnosis 8 жыл бұрын
josh hamilton Well the only reason why shroud plays so much is because he streams; he plays hours upon hours for entertainment and for his own practice. However, since he is streaming, he might not be as serious and doesn't actually learn tactics.

Look how on point Summit was in this video. Sick and Autimatic are two of the best players on arguably the best team in NA at the moment. It's because they practiced nonstop.

summit is right bet here is a better analogy :) playing pro matches is like taking a test in school then team practices is like IN CLASS review u kinda gotta go then fpl is like a after school study group playing counter strike and practicing is on ur own studying you should be on aim maps and learning smokes and flashes then applying them in all of what i have stated, fpl team practices and then pro matches you need alot of all of these to be the best in cs, just like u need to study in a group and by urself then go to the review in class to pass the test with not just good grades but the best grades in the class.

Just because he had some good performances in online matches doesn't mean he is the best awper in na atm. Jdm has been in a bit of a slump but i still consider him to be the best awper in NA because he has been very consistently been topfragging in CLG. By your logic someone like f0rest could be the better awper than GuardiaN if f0rest was playing really good for a week and GuardiaN played like shit for a week

But my question is this: If you play 40 hours a week minimum, how do you stay in shape? How do you stay fit? If you sit on a computer 40 hours a week MINIMUM, you're not going to get the necessary exercise to stay healthy. I mean, I get it that they're pro players and all, and that it's a full time job, but how do they expect to stay in shape?

+So_Swag - Much_Wow 24 hours a day, 40 hrs=5 days of work. 2 days of rest (if 40 is minimum). KennyS practices 5-7 hours with the team and also plays mm/fpl. Its like people having full time jobs but how do they still exercise, cook, etc.. well they manage.

There's NA players. They think it's enough to just do team practice and then play with m0e. Then there's EU players. They literally play this game the whole day, trying to improve somehow, trying to get even better map knowledge and just learning from different situations. That's the big difference between NA and EU currently, that's why NA CS gets so much shit.

Great clip. Freakazoids recent interview with Thorin he said the same exact thing. NA players really just want to become pro, get the money, stream followers etc. They don't really care about beating the best in the world at cs. I like C9 and I remember Jordan saying a long time ago that you pretty much just maintain your aim and skills etc at that level. I get that to a point but that's kind of saying you can't get any better? Idk I feel like c9 is the poster boy for this.

back in 1.6 mTw were known to parctice 2-3 hours a day, sometimes only 3 days a week, and they were the most consistent team from 2008 till 2011 making pretty much every top5 placing in every tournament. so the ammount of CS isn't the reason NA teams suck, it's personality, intellect, dedication and patience they lack.

This time last year i feel like he was a absolute monster against eu teams. Now its just kinda meh at the moment. Some say he's an awper so he cant really get better b/c his job is to just get pics off bombsites lol. imo of your not the number one awper in the world you always have time to deathmatch or atleast FPL. I'm sure there is a difference between 4 hours of concentration and 8 hour streams of shits and giggles. Not being one myself, but I can conservatively say that improving as a pro isn't solely bases on the quantity of time, but the quality of the practice. But of course, it isn't quality practice if you only spend 2 seconds when the pro standard of your competitors is 8 hours. Then you're toast.

+jianhong lin "how can people on KZbin really tell how much of a video a certain viewer has watched when they make that comment?" Because you didn't have the same conclusion,he made a wild guess you didn't watch the whole video... Quality over quantity?If they practice 4-5h a day instead of 8h. I am 100% with you.. Where are the results?They don't have any. If you don't have any results,what do you need to do?You need to improve. How can you improve? Practice more. If the majoriy of NA sucks penis at CSGO with only 4-5h quality over quantity practice,they should increase the number of hours played so that they can bring success. SO: It all goes down too. Eu(plays more)>>>>>>Na(plays less).
