I just started SoT a few days ago. My first day, I was soloing for 5 hours and hadn't sold any of my loot. A guy and girl sank my ship and took all my loot. I later caught up to them, killed them both and sank their ship. The girl was calling my a "fucking loser" for attacking them after they'd just done the same to me lol. Lots of salt on the high seas.

The pvp element is certainly what makes the game so special. This is coming from someone who did 5 quests, lost all my loot so quickly I didn't even know what happened, and uninstalled the game the first time I played. Getting back into it there are plenty of measures you can take to cut losses and the risk involved isn't present in most other games today. Gives you some real stakes!

Honestly though, the game is kind of rigged FOR people to raid. You can steal everything from other peoples boats and just chill there. They should have balanced it so you have to get the ammo or supplies from your own boat etc. and you can't loot the enemy's supplies (not treasure) until you've killed the crew or something. I feel like that would be an acceptable trade.

Tho some players attack others and steal their loot. It has always been like that, nothing is all white or all black, you can't change it. And I am sorry but it's funny when you are getting attacked with loot. There is the adrenaline, you don't want to lose your precious loot. I agree that's it can be frustrating but it's the game. It's a PIRATE game. And if you are always getting attacked and your loot is always getting killed just play better, change your path, improve your aim etc etc.

If you don't sink it they will keep respawning and even if you can kill them+ take all the loot at the same time , they will follow you to an outpost and you'll have to sink them anyway. That's just how it is :/ I agree that it's annoying but it's not that easy to steal loot and if they had that much loot on their boat it'd their fault they should have went to an outpost

I just started playing this a week ago. Generally avoid other ships, but my crew decided to sink a random sloop at an outpost so we could safely turn in the shroud breaker without having to worry. We sunk him, took his Athena flag, then in the distance I see one of their crewman jumping off our boat with the shroudbreaker. We lost it but eventually ended up forming an alliance and doing a fortress together. I love this game lmao

Couple of days ago I went for that red tornado skeletons guys died a few times when I came back a galleon was there and the guys were fighting the boss dude and so we teamed up and I died again right before the boss died and they separated all the loot and waited on me before they left and we got a equal share it was one of the best times I had even if I rammed into their ship afterward due to me not paying attention to my heading

I was soloing and got robbed by a sloop with 2 so went back for them and they were under water doing a mission so I thought I would be nice and not sink their ship however I used my resource crate to take everything from there ship and put it on mine. I go back to get some of my loot and they come up and I say hey not hear to fight just give me my stuff and will leave in peace to which they laughed and shot me so I spawned back on my boat just behind rocks come at them and said bad move as I sunk them and they could not return fire, repair the boat or heal so I got my stuff back and they left me alone from there on :)

Just out of curiousity. A guy in chat said "I hope you get above 40K subs again, you deserve it" or something like that. So I started thinking, how much money does a streamer earn? How much for each sub? And I found that just affiliate/basic partner gets 50%, so $2.50 per sub. Summit has 24K subs. That's $60,000 a month (assuming all subs are loyal and re-sub the next month). And he's not just a basic partner either, so he gets even more. Let's say the income tax for that is 24% (sounds good? a site I found said between ~39K and ~84K tax is at 22%, might be different for different states I don't know America :P). That's still $45,600 a month... That's insane money.... So, even if he doesn't have 40K subs, he's still living the dream life. Or is my math completely off?

it's so much more than that, donations, platform contract, sponsorships and salary from a team (summit doesn't have this though i think), for someone his size, it's well into six digits per month.

Tim Maes It took me months to reach Legendary Pirate. I’m not a great fighter. Playing alone on a Sloop most of the time I tried to avoid all ships. If their was 4 chests on an island and I could only find 2, I would bring 2 chests to Outpost then go back to island to search for final 2. I played conservative . I never tried to steal loot from other players. RARE says I can play this game anyway I like. Now that I’m Legendary must work on fighting skills. If you watched the developer updates, they pushed the Pirate Code. Confusing since this is a Pirate game. I wish at times when people just want to be left alone to hunt for treasure this is respected. When I’m chased half way across the map and I tell them I have nothing on me and they say we don’t care, it gets tiresome. Aloha
