alot of people think going pro is all glamor and fun, but becoming turns your hobby/passion into a full time job, and unless your willing to put your entire life into said profession the majority of people cant hack it. this goes for all professions.
@Scottiyio

Yeah. Realized that with baseball and it gets boring when things befoke way too competitive. Even Bryce Harper wants to bring the fun back, even though he earns a load of skrilla

+Adham339 also the stress factor... he would enjoy the success, but since there most likely wont be one, he'd just stress himself for nothing. Not worth it^^ It was a wise decision to stick to streaming :)
@Nightknight1992
@Nightknight1992 8 жыл бұрын
+Adham339 ye but hell never know for sure if he doesnt give it a try, he could still quit if it doesnt work out. im sure he could always come back to streaming, all the viewers were really supportive of the going pro journey and would understand when hed have less time to stream, they could watch him in tournaments instead aswell. oh well, its up to him i guess, but im sure there will be a point of regret in the future of not giving it a shot
@Terranova339
@Terranova339 8 жыл бұрын
***** I think you dont understand. Once he starts going pro, he cant just quit at any time he wants. He would be bound to a contract that has to run out, and he would also get a huge negative backlash from the cs go community, for "just quitting" like that.
@Nightknight1992
@Nightknight1992 8 жыл бұрын
Adham339 i dunno where you live but theres no employment contract that doesnt allow quitting. also the backlash might be there, but the average internet kid forgets quickly and his fans probably wouldnt give him shit for trying to be a pro but realizing streaming is his true calling
@sanneh2

+Sanel Okic i thought the exact same thing. The only thing that makes sense in what he's saying is he wouldn't be able to see his wife as much as he does now, and that's way different than dealing with a gf. Besides that, it basically sounds like he would rather make more money streaming than pursuing his "dream" of being a pro player. Sounds like he should have done it though, majority of pro players don't last long in the scene so it's not like he'd be gone from constant streaming for 5+ years or some shit.

Make's a lot of sense for him tbh. He will make more money, work on his own time, not be forced to play 1 game for insane amount of time which can be frustrating and get old fast but most of all, he will have that extra time for his family!

Summit said on stream that recently he made some big purchases/had to pay some big bills (between paying his car off, new house, bills/taxes and shit). I wonder if he's streaming more because he feels that he has to make that money back and that's why he doesn't want to go pro? Not sure, I hope that's not why. Would suck to have that kind of regret.

I guess his pro contract was too restricting. He probably had to play a certain number of hours with the team. He makes way more money as a full time streaming and it's more relaxing and he has more freedom.. Can't knock him for making the most beneficial choice

Ppl mad at him. Why? There are few reasons why he changed his mind and mention this on stream. 1. His life. He isn't that young anymore so he doesn't have the mindset that many late teen/young adult have which is "fuck everyone, I'm king/queen of the world and no worries!" Attitude. Why he doesn't have that mindset? It's called being a actual adult and deciding a path to follow to have stable income, responsibilities and duties, able to provide for yourself, wife or if possible depending on person have children. Summit is going to be 30 soon (ya some of ya thinking "no fucking way he is that old?" Yep he is) and that point in your life either mid or late 20s that's where it kicks in wth you gonna do with your life at this point? For summit he has a wife, a job he loves doing entertaining ppl, actually paying off for the house and more. Him going pro he has to leave often, can't interact with ppl he is entertaining and can't spend time with his wife that often. The current pro players-
@dungeonmaster16
@dungeonmaster16 8 жыл бұрын
You see in csgo, lol and such are 1. They Young, 2. Got lucky to get recruited, 3. They dont actually got important responsibilities besides being s pro gamer. Sure as a pro gamer you get crazy amounts of money but question is long run of your still doing this are you happy? Also after your song being s pro either retire or get removed form team what then? Depending on years focusing On pro gaming and most likely don't have s college degree your honestly kinda fucked. You got savings but how long that will last depending on current living condition your in and type of job you get with minimal requirements and skills you have. Summit actually did talk about that after he retired. He worked in retail and felt unhappy and decide to stream when he heard of twitch. Him and his wife talked and his wife was supportive to let him quit and stream. Luckily he was able to maintain streaming with some of his pro rep but mainly his personality that got ppl to watch him. He did say he was honesty-
@dungeonmaster16
@dungeonmaster16 8 жыл бұрын
+dungeonmaster16 a bit scared if streaming failed he has to go back to s job he doesn't really enjoy and with the absence could cause issues when paying bills even with his wife help at the time. It's rather best he stays with this as stealing since he does have fun and have fans that respect him. Plus money form subs, donations and sponsoring helps him keep up with bills and him and his wife can live happily with no issues or struggles.
