If you have trouble with Q+E leaning like Summit was talking about, take it off continuous hold and put it on press. It's a lot better. Your leans will become toggles freeing you up to move without having your fingers playing twister. Or you can swap them to V/B like Summit does. Or on your side mouse buttons. Tarkov is one of those games where there's so many important key-binds, so I learned to play with my leans on toggle and staying on Q+E. My side buttons are for stuff like check ammo, discard, etc.

Yeah like Dallas says, swapping Q and E can also work well. While strying to strafe left, if you dont toggle it prior, trying to hit Q can be hard for some people, so throw it on E. Can hold A to strafe while pressing E with your free finger. Personally, i just toggle with standard Q and E, but i just had the thought of, since i double bind my 4-0 keys for meds and grenades, i wonder if i could double bind lean to A and D so i do both at the same time? strafe left with A but also go into a left lean at the same time.

I use my 3 middle fingers for wasd, so my pinky can hit q and my middle finger can hit e my rotating my hand slightly which realigns my ring finger to the w key, freeing up the middle finger to hit e when moving to the right.

I changed my leans in all my games to be the opposite of default. So I lean right with Q and lean left with E. It allows you to strafe right while leaning right and vice versa a little bit easier. Only took me a couple of days to get used to and it's much easier now.

Can you control/compensate muzzle rise by dragging the mouse down like in cs? I don't play EFT so I was curious. If not then tapping/burst firing could be the answer. I was watching him full auto the p90 the other day and it was climbing fast.

That's actually the thing that annoys me the most about EFT shooting. In this game you shouldn't counter the recoil by dragging the mouse down, the character does that for you after the first couple rounds that go up. Because of that burst firing is the worst option in EFT, because the character doesn't yet start compensating the recoil and your bullets go to the sky. Really annoys me as a former CS:GO player.

you can kind of compensate with your mouse, but the way tarkov recoil works it only kicks up for the first 3-5 shots then levels back out because of the automatic recoil compensation in the game. unfortunately this makes burst firing useless because youre experiencing the first shot kick over and over again making it impossible to be accurate

If you do not manually control your recoil and just try to hold the crosshair on target like a fire hose you end up with fights like summit You compensate more like cod or battlefield than cs but you waste your first 5+ shots if you wait for it to auto compensate and that usually means you're dead just like any other game

Im kind of surprised as the usual problem is breaking the habit of tap firing in close range cause ur 90% of the time u should tap fire, its been like 2 decades since games adapted to that so not sure why summits having a hard time doing it as its the opposite for me. I find myself in a close courter fight tapping rather then just spraying full auto.
