+RichardZombie I am not too familiar with him but his YT name is JoshOG and he is another CSGO KZbinr, whom - I assume - also makes gambling content
@drudude70938 жыл бұрын
JoshOG is a streamer with a large audience, streams different games including overwatch and CSGO, so big that he is affiliated with Monstercat (the music label). He had CSGOLOTO as a "Sponsor" of his channel, and would gamble on it. It turns out he is actually a part owner of the site, and never revealed that on his channel which is highly illegal. Since CSGOLOTO turned out to be a big scam, he is in hot water now. I don't know the degree of his involvement with the illegal practices of the site or to what degree he had knowledge of what was going on.

3:15 "parents should always know what their kids are doing on the internet" WHAT!? yeah just put cameras in his room and track his phone and go with him/her everywhere
@jacobherrera79758 жыл бұрын
I think he means they should be checking and monitoring what their children are doing online, especially if they are 13 or younger. To be honest any teen above the age of 15 knows what gambling is and knows what addiction is, they know the risks of gambling and betting. But it kind of falls on the parents that their young children under the age of 13 are on these sites. Don't you think they should check what their child is doing. Now I'm not saying the sites are in the right, no it's fucked up of what they did, but it seems like parents are looking for someone to blame but themselves. I believe these gambling sites should have put a discloser when you enter the site every time, that the site is meant to be used by people above the age of 18 and have them verify their age.
@ReDsOxFaN4LiFe18 жыл бұрын
You made some good points. Id like to add however that my parents aren't tec savey enough to track webaddresses. Parents are to blame yes but id say its more of a 65-70% fault of these gambling sites. These kids don't know better and I doubt that most parents will understand how to look through their gateway and find all the traffic.
@NightReaperGaming8 жыл бұрын
+Mom's Spagetti yea but when they see the site they should obviously be able to tell its a gambling site.

"I won a pot of like, $69 dollars, or something like that." Like, $69 dollars, or something like that Or something like that I don't know about anyone here, but if I were a betting man myself, I feel like I would know exactly what I've been losing and gaining. Also, look at the facial expression. It all points to a huge lie. It's just so disturbing to see someone lie straight through their teeth about something so awful.

I don't think not knowing the exact amount is actually that much of a telltale. If you bet a lot, you will forget each bets exact value. Just human ability to forget stuff. I used to bet a lot on low risk sport events with a friend and we had like 10-20 bets a day some weeks. You will not in any way remember each bet amount and won amount.

I think a smart thing to do, as Valve, would be to shut down all gambling sites and make their own to get even more money, just my opinion though.
@GhOstVenomzZ8 жыл бұрын
No, its the same issue regardless of who owns them
@gege51578 жыл бұрын
+Empty Bag of Ruffles what is the issue? because the only reason this even came up was because they apparently didnt disclose that they were affiliated with the site. Obviously if Valve made a site and it was the only one it would be obvious that they were affiliated and im pretty sure they would announce it.
@HJbear8 жыл бұрын
clearly you don't keep up with the news. valve have already announced they are sending cease and desist to all gambling sites
@GhOstVenomzZ8 жыл бұрын
+Gege So how do you monitor underage gambling with a community that has a large fanbase under 18? Also, Valve is not acting on behalf of the Tmartn and Syndicate situation. Valve had their own drama involving a class action lawsuit. That is the only reason they really care to shut these sites down. The community tho, believes the tmartn and syndicate fiasco motivated Valve for change. Nope, they had other things going on. Anyways, if Valve took ownership of one or two sites, the same and realistically the more serious issue continues which is underage gambling and the difficulty in denying access to underage children online
@gege51578 жыл бұрын
+Empty Bag of Ruffles yeah they got sued for allowing underage gambling and they got away because it apparently doesnt count as gambling when it is with skins
@jamesssss6218 жыл бұрын
Summit doesn't give a shit because he is a part of that whole scene. Anyone remember that video about summit losing 100k? I know he makes a good living but he doesn't have 100k laying around to blow on csgo betting.
@zeke49948 жыл бұрын
Remember its 100K in skins. Thats only 100K in actual dollars if someone actually pays for it. In terms of online currency, a gambling site can easily sponsor him 100K that he loses and not care, they make way more than that daily from the % of the pots they take off the top.

@paaawna8 жыл бұрын
junkin he did disclose that he was sponsored by them, making it not-illegal. please do research before acting smart mate
@junkin8 жыл бұрын
+Frenchy it's actually illegal to be sponsored and not disclose. It's also illegal to deceive consumers as if the winnings are real if his sponsorship does not allow him to keep winnings. If he had same deal as moe I'm sure he's relying on the same "gray area" they all rely on. Still shady regardless legalities.

That moment he cuts out the part where h3h3 mentions fair use, and this guy is just stealing h3's content.
@JDUU2K8 жыл бұрын
Summit isn't a fucking react channel he watched this on steam because someone linked him the video (this isn't his channel either)
@mydixapython89688 жыл бұрын
+xVenomzzz doesn't change the fact that he stole the video
@JDUU2K8 жыл бұрын
Tim Franklin no one stole the video! even the guy that uploaded this video uploads highlights of summits stream and does not monetize any of these videos.
@mydixapython89688 жыл бұрын
+xVenomzzz but since it's been uploaded to KZbin that makes it a KZbin video, he has someone else's video not edited on this video which is the opposite of fair use.
@RedSpatanHD8 жыл бұрын
+Tim Franklin The uploader is a fan of this guy who streams on Twitch.tv. The uploader doesn't make any money off of this video either. This guy uploads clips of Summit playing video games. This isn't a react channel

H3H3 should've said this for his gambling site instead: If you are old enough to play with blocks, you are old enough to play with glocks.

Just like to point out, said video of syndicates, does say down below "This video is sponsored by CsgoLotto!" with a linik directly below said quotation.

This is why I hate reaction videos , and now I'm of course not talking about H3H3's turn on it, I'm talking about, Oh, let me rip off someone's content (whole video) and literally sit through it silently. *video ends* Summit talks only about the last "joke" about .gov. When asked his opinion.... "man it... sucks". THANK YOU FOR THAT QUALITY CONTENT YOU ADDED TO THE VIDEO AND THANKS FOR NOT RIPPING OF VIEWS OFF OF AN ACTUAL CONTENT CREATOR.

I WOULD REMOVE THIS VIDEO RIGHT AWAY!!! this doesn't at all fall under fair use and you could easily be sued for it... now while I know h3h3 probably wouldn't do that I still thinks its rather immoral and very shaidy... Please at least consider it and thank you very much for your time...

back when I was a huge syndicate fan.. I remember that he said all the time that he was working on a game with his company and that he will be releasing a game on steam.
@mt2oo88 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he was promoting Dead Realm and telling everyone he was sort of afflicted with the game
@NitrooCS8 жыл бұрын
+ZeZoD Odaf oh mate I know! I meant how the article said in the video he was striked because of the game he was promoting he hadn't disclosed it but clearly he did.. I know the game is out now..
@divan44408 жыл бұрын
+Nitrosity he didn't disclose it in the videos of the game that was the problem
@NitrooCS8 жыл бұрын
+GRAVITATION the thing is I don't see why that's an issue.. that's like for example.. PewDiePie tweeting that he made a game.. and then him now saying on the video of the game it was his. people would see that completely differently
@divan44408 жыл бұрын
+Nitrosity I don't know man. But these regulations don't have any playroom i can guarantee you that pewdiepie had he done the same thing would have gotten the same problems.
