@@sir.ifpratamaxii the full set Valhalla Knight armor is design for summoner only if using it as Melee it's really bad. Melee only need armor piece like Valhalla Greaves.

I think that right now the best class for a comfortable passage is just the summoner tank. And there is a DPS, and a lot of protection, and so much so that you can tank literally the same way as a tank warrior, only he has MUCH less DPS.

Bit of a stretch to call this "Summoner" when you are using a melee armor and you are taking so little damage that basically any weapon can work. Old One's army sets are designed for 1 class, with boosts to sentries that are used to complement your main DPS. in the case of squire and valhalla the Armor's class bonuses are relatively low, but the defense is so stupidly high that any class can use the armors and work fine. Then you have Ballista Panic tripling the DPS of ballistas for no reason and it leads to this.

Actually read the numbers for the Valhalla set and then say "It's a stretch to call this summoner" again. Defense is classless my guy. Every class can tank if you mix it with summoner, in fact, every dps build also greatly improves by mixing with summoner.

@@terraSpark902 the numbers for valhalla show the exact same amount of summon damage and sentry slots as its other 3 alternatives and 30% increased melee DPS. The only thing making this a "summoner" set is the fact that Ballista Panic happens to be the stupidest thing ever for facetanking. But that doesnt mean its a summoner set, it really just means that the Ballistas are going to do half the work, and that other half is better off being covered by another class weapon that will add much more than a whip. Valhalla is genuinely closer to a classless armor than a melee armor, but its certainly no summoner armor. Especially because the ballistas are useless for bosses outside of facetanking.

@elvisjbier lmao you're wrong in so many ways. To call it "Classless" armor when the breastplate literally is just 30% summon damage is copium on another level. I also literally already said that the Flying Dragon is arguably better than whips when wearing the Valhalla armor. Next, tell me you've never used sentries without telling me you've never used sentries. Dawg we got Plantera, Golem, Frost moon, Pumpkin moon, Martian madness, obviously old ones army, all 4 lunar pillars, and I've used Sentries to kill the lunatic cultist and Moon lord while holding the guard of a Sergeant united shield. The myth that sentries are bad is so brain dead.

@elvisjbier This may come as a shock to you, but yes, having 60% summon damage and 3 additional Sentry slots. Does in fact, make it a Summon set. It's also a melee set and that's literally the point.

Mage also can be good tank in some cases. Golem and plantera can be easily destroyed with this build
