Summoner: WIP AR Art Print made with Adobe Aero

Summoner: This is a work-in-progress AR art print. I love the simplicity and contrast of black and white … and I love the expressive power of color. This experience incorporates both.
EXPERIENCE:
When you approach the composition, it transforms into color. When you tap the bird, it turns into its colorful self and flies around you indefinitely.
PROCESS: I drew the illustration in Procreate. Then, I prepped the files in Adobe Photoshop and bought them into Adobe After Effects for animation. From there, I imported the animations as PNG sequences into Adobe Aero, where I added the interactivity and some ambient animations.

Did you have any problems with memory errors on your ipad or iphone. I want to create a children's book with this tech but it doesn't seem like aero will do that. I think that you would have to get out of the app when you change pages, rescan a new QR code and then rescan for the next page?

Yes, the memory management is real challenge in Aero. You could either do a QR code per page or use something like Unity, where you have more control over memory management and can add multiple image targets to the same experience.

Amazing, I have a doubt that you might be able to answer. If you want to show this AR art print to a client that doesn´t have Adobe aero installed or an iphone or ipad how would you do it? Again lovely work, I discovered you first on behance.

Thank you! Yes, the client would need to have Aero installed. There is a push in the industry to move toward browser or OS based AR experiences, but we aren't quite there yet.
