Thanks for sharing the possibilities and approach 👍🏻 As I don’t want to use #Adobe software, I was wondering if you also tried and can advise on some alternatives for Aero #AR authoring software? Preferably on #Apple #macOS and a traditional license model, so not subscription based.

I get that. So, Adobe Aero is free. You don't need creative cloud. But, yes, there are tons of different AR software solutions. I use many of them, not just Aero. Lens Studio, Spark AR, 8th Wall, Scenery, Lightship, Niantic Studio, MyWebAR... Those are all good options. I think Aero is great for beginners, though.

My word! I love an intelligent, thoughtful, articulate person who can offer a tutorial by using such amazing artwork they’ve created themselves. I’m here to learn how to make my own AR . music videos. Your work reminds me of something from Jess Cope. Sorry to gush. Love your work, and I’d love to see if there’s a way we could work together with your artwork.

It sounds like it's a complex material, like it's coordinate mapped or procedurally created in the 3d software you are using. I'd recommend using textures. It's the most straightforward of materials, so there is little room for misinterpretation. Hope that helps.

Hey Im having trouble with reflective materials, I'm not sure what to do but for now it looks quite opaque, also I'm not sure if I can import lights to aero or something like that, in general all my artwork is based on metallic, shiney, translucent materials so I'm having quite a struggle here!
@DunawaySmith
@DunawaySmith 23 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, you cannot import lights. Aero (at this point) only has one overhead light, so all reflective materials will only respond to that one light source. Make sure you are using a PBR will low roughness and high metallic qualities. You might try using Adobe Dimension or the Substance suite for the materials. I've noticed that the Adobe software seems to communicate consistently between their apps.

why is it happening that the material or colour is not getting exported along with fbx
@DunawaySmith
@DunawaySmith Ай бұрын
There could be a number of things occurring. Adobe Aero doesn't support complex shaders, so if you're using a procedural or node based shader in your 3D app, it won't appear that way in Aero. The best thing to do is use PDR materials and textures. Other than that, I'd go to Adobe's support site to see if other folks are experiencing that issue. community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-aero/ct-p/ct-adobe-aero?page=1&sort=latest_replies&lang=all&tabid=all

@DunawaySmith
@DunawaySmith 3 ай бұрын
Hmm, it could be a lot of things. I would try exporting as an FBX first. If that doesn't work, it could have something do with armatures, scaling, etc. Try exporting without the animation (uncheck in blender export options) and see if it appears. If you have an armature, I'd try unparenting the armature, deleting vertex groups, then parenting it again (with auto weight.)

Amazing, beautiful work! I have a burning question. How do you navigate user testing and client expectations? I have a project published using Spark AR's buggy plane tracking. Sometimes, it comes up slowly or does not appear. Never when I am testing... The client wants it to be "fixed", but I used the Spark World track template and don't know how I can improve the stability. How do you test on other devices that are not your own to ensure the stability of the published filter?

Thank you so much. I haven't done a ton of synchronized (animation/audio) pieces. But, I have noticed that any sort of drift can intensify with time and file size. So, keeping audio and animation clips short and sweet, typically works better. Also, if Aero is trying to process a ton of stuff at the same time, that can cause performance issues which will create latency problems. Best of luck with everything!
