Don't put yourself down either, it's a rough meta at the moment. Even with good runes there are ways you can be playing at less "effective" rune quality, like not being correctly speed tuned across different draft orders, or just spreading your runes around too much. A good thought experiment to try is to see if you can rune up 10-12 total units and pretend like they're the only ones you're allowed to use, then rune them to the max and see if your games improve. Sometimes its not about outdrafting, because a unit that's 20% better is going to blow away the good matchup.

Great video as always, nice to see Maxi being used. Unfortunately I don't have you others LDs (except for Maxi), any suggestion for replacement? Expecially for Wolyung since she's you first pick? I'm kinda struggling going Maxi first then having to pivot into something very high damage against second turn/bruisers teams. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it's a lot harder to force Maxi without some other specific LDs, but the core idea if you're first picking Maxi is going to probably be aiming for a 2/3 style draft, where you bring 2 (somewhat) complementary "teams" in your draft, that both work together. As an example, you could draft Maxi/Jeogun to threaten the maxi cleave, as Jeogun brings your attack buff and strip for maxi, and then if they pivot into a turn 2 draft, you could bring a completely separate set of 3 that will work without them, like a Daphnis/Shizuka/Nana core. A lot would depend on what they draft for the exact setup. If you're looking to exclusively hard turn 1, then you could try Psama/Eshir, and then have a secondary threat with something like Robo/cheongpung. Draft order is again a bit dependent on theirs, but you'd be looking to bring Maxi/Eshir fairly early, Psama as a pick 3/4, then robo -> triton if they continue to draft fast. If they draft slow you can also slow down for more effective strippers like Jeogun who up your total teams damage output while doing the same thing. If they look slow from the beginning you can dump psama for moore or even seara. The main thing is you have to be more careful about drafting the correct "speed" as you only want to be just fast enough, not always blazing.

The main single target snipes for this are going to be Fire Kassandra, Daphnis, Dark Kassandra (com2us plz giv), Shi Hou (As a last pick into the laika pickers), mainly. Carbine can work in a few situations but I haven't played with it much. Daphnis is the best one usually, but the acc check is why I don't use it; he kills a lot of stuff the other ones can't do enough damage for.

Any idea on dark indra in g1?

He's a closer/follow up unit from what I can tell, so you'd use him as a pick 4/5 against teams that are vulnerable to just getting provoked to death. So basically, imagine you're fighting a fire heavy bruiser team where you really don't want to choose cheongpung, you'd want something like dark indra or verad as a multi-turn CC followup. Dark Indra would work best if you're leaning more towards a bruiser comp yourself, to take advantage of the damage reflect, as opposed to a higher dps CC cleave. Unfortunately he's not that common yet, and I don't have one, so that's just my best guess based on how I've seen the water one used who is very similar.

I actually did a day of no LD5s, it wasn't super successful but I didn't actually drop much. I'll definitely be doing more of that post-end of season, it's just really risky to do it at this exact second.

For sure, I'll be doing more of that after end of season. I just try to stick to my core LD abuser draft near end of season unless I have a really compelling reason to be doing something else.

For yeonhong/wolyung core I would be looking into a single target snipe or single target CC draft. woly/YH/sekhmet/sagar/daphnis kind of team. Downside is you get the joy of suckmet on the regular, but typically its a very consistent style of team as you are fast and can choose when you have to deal with stuff like haegangs and other AE punishing units. A lot would depend on what else you have to make a really consistent team but that's a good style to at least try out as it gets so much better with YH.

Three main reasons atm: 1. It's the end of season and this is my "safe" team that I have a lot of practice with. 2. I really like the emperor setup into turn 2, and herteit is required for it + there's only a few triple buffers in the game (laima/draco/water pudding) and laima is by far the safest one 3. I'm lazy and wedjat is insane

YH works really well with single target CC/reset/snipe comps abusing stuff like sekhmet/sagar/daphnis. A lot of these are heavily LD boosted but it would definitely be what I tried first if I had YH. You can also just use her as sustain and outspeed for a more typical AE CC comp, and I've seen people do this with a lot of success.

I play swift maxi in c2 and i think i got the turn 2 people figured out but i cant win any of the oliver moore ethna eshir people any adivce? (also got laima and ragdol in my box)

Swift Maxi isn't the best build for him (I pretty much exclusively run high efficiency vio maxi) but the answer to a lot of those drafts is haegang. I'm also known to follow the 3/2 draft, where you set up a core combo (like say, chiwu/cheongpung/maxi) to force them into a speed fight, and then slam down 2 RNG heavy or tanky units like abellio/antares/juno/etc. So they either give you your core combo, or they have to let both of your bruiser counterpicks into the draft. You have to make sure your core 3 will actually win speed though, otherwise they will ban a bruiser and you'll have a bad time.

Both douglas and water art master to use your examples are counter picks in and of itself, and are usually picked last. If your enemy picks units like these early on in their drafts, you can easily render them useless by not picking things that'll enable them by pivoting, or your first picks are making your intentions too obvious. In many cases, units like these are force bans.
