So when Voyboy says he got trashtalked he is not suited to be a pro. But when Thorin is criticised by Voyboy, he can still be an esports journalist. Thorin just takes one little thing to make the big unquestionable statement, but someone could do the same to him in every idea he expresses.
@GarroshX10 жыл бұрын
Thorin is passionate, least gotta give him that. Doesn't sugar coat it either. I can respect that. The world needs less phony people.

@ShawnReardon10 жыл бұрын
It just seems like all they can do is shout when people argue with their analysis. No one said Voyboy > Faker. But to try and act like he hasn't been playing better is crazy and no one ever really gave him that credit. They just said he picks strange things.
@hmfmlcom628110 жыл бұрын
I think it's you and I would say a large amount of the community who don't get it. whether he says things calmly or shouts or does whatever the important thing is that what he's saying is correct. He agrees with the current form of Voyboy and that Voy is a decent player but that Voy is at best a middle of the pack mid laner in NA and that he's not a "great" mid.

@ethanomihombre10 жыл бұрын
From my perspective Thorin was angry because of something out of but still related to the show, and as a result almost the entire episode suffered from both an entertainment perspective and an analytical one. Personally I think Thorin can make good points and argue well with people most of the time, so perhaps not reading social during the episode would help? Addressing it after the show is fine by me because it doesn't affect it, but there was almost no in depth discussion this episode which was disappointing.
@Demilak10 жыл бұрын
I honestly felt like the last 2-3 hours was just Thorin bashing Saint for everything he said. Like, if you ask a guy for his opinion, and even he gives you an opinion that you disagree with or don't understand, you don't just start giving him shit for it and make personal attacks on him, listening only to the extent of getting something else to shit on him for. He rarely let Saint finish an explanation of anything, though I honestly don't think he listened to what Saint said, and if he did he didn't understand it. Like the Nyjacky vs Scarra debate, where Thorin made a huge deal out of Saint thinking Scarra wasn't that good, when Saint has played hundreds of games with and against Scarra, and understands the people he's talking about very well, while Thorin saw a few games and did some interviews.
@midicronica9910 жыл бұрын
Michael Nichols There was a reason why Thorin was yelling at Saint and it was not because he didn't disagree or didn't understand, cause if I were in Thorin's shoes I would be too. When Thorin would ask Saint's opinion on a topic, Saint would say one thing to justify his argument. Then when he would ask his opinion on another topic he would contradict his previous point. Saint has cognitive dissonance where he has two or more contradictory thoughts in his head. For example, when Thorin asked who was better Aphromoo or Xpecial, Saint replied with Aphro, and Saint believed that you shouldn't take historical results into account. Then when Saint tried to argue that BigFat was a good player he said, "Who cares what happened afterwards?" In that argument he suddenly took his previous results into account where in every other argument he would completely exclude it. Thorin actually kept his composure quite well, I could see he was almost on the edge but was able to keep his cool.
@ethanomihombre10 жыл бұрын
Raymond Park I understand that there was a reason, but from my point of view it was detrimental to the show as a whole entertainment and discussion-wise. Forcing your point of view on someone too forcefully - even if it's 100% right and they're 100% wrong - can stifle conversation. It ended up doing this, which is not a good thing on a talk show. Even if someone is angry for a good reason, their job on the show is to provide entertainment value whether it be through being funny, informative, leading the show, or something else. When it comes down to the bottom line, the show ended up not being very informative nor was it entertaining for a very large chunk of time from my perspective. Thorin may have kept himself from exploding, but he did not keep himself from letting his anger get in the way of the show.

@GamesCourier10 жыл бұрын
Voyboy doesnt suck. But he is not one of the top 3 midlaners in NA and if you compare him to the whole western scene he will fall even more. I always thought that he was a much better top laner. In a view solely on NA he is good (maybe 4th best of his position, for me he is 5th best) but if you look international he cant compete. Thats all what they say.

***** Fascinating that you may even believe your own bullshit. You're suggesting the war was "already won" before D-DAY! Before numerous other hugely pivotal battles, ALL of which US troops were heavily involved, and US strategists heavily orchestrated. Considering that the US is a continent and an ocean away it wasn't immediately involved in a war on another continent, but eventually played a MASSIVE role in winning and ending said war. Quite unlike isolationist EUROPE which to this day frequently watches genocide on its doorstep and literally does nothing! Perhaps you should read some history that isn't filtered through your phony EUroCentric lenses, matey!

BEST. EPISODE. EVER
@h4lfnh4lf10 жыл бұрын
As a first time watcher of this show, the guy in the middle is very well spoken and even hilarious at times. Obviously the real star of the show. However, my biggest gripe would be the fact that he has an unfortunate habit of defending himself/ qualifying his statements. I understand that he is trying to help viewers understand where he is coming from and trying to prevent from offending people but it really detracts from the show and it is somewhat unpleasant to watch/hear. The guy on the right has a good amount of information to offer, but his unique perspective is what makes his addition to the show wholesome. Also had his funny moments, my only real gripe with him would be the fact that he seems too interested in winning conversations, and would often misconstrue a question or statement from the guy in the middle as a personal attack of sorts. The man on the left I have nothing to complain about, he comes off as very intelligent, professional and in his element. If anything I would say that he plays it a bit too safe/polite with his statements, but it might just be in comparison to the other two, who "keep it real". Overall 7/10, thanks for keeping me entertained and laughing on my way back from work. When I ran out of Bill Burr podcasts to listen to I was worried, but you came to my rescue.

Most of the people are fairly known in the LoL scene, but here's a quick rundown: Left: Montecristo (host) - Coach for NA team CLG, is an e-sports journalist and commentates the Korean pro-league, OGN. Center: Thorin (host) - e-sports journalist for onGamers. Does interviews with professional gamers. He was exceptionally rude in this episode, constantly railing the guest on the show. Right: Saintvicious (guest) - Ex-professional LoL player, notorious for missing crucial smites to secure objectives. Currently is a coach for team Curse, and still plays at a high level.
