I never imagined a Japanese stable showing how the cook, live and train would result in me watching sumo & being impressed by Nabatame basically slap his opponent out of ring abd being very impressed and a bit proud. I feel like I’m rooting for a friend I watch so much Japanese stuff I keep getting Japanese ads 😂

well, I'm a bit behind in keeping up with these videos due to some rather busy days, how is Urutora doing? anyway, perhaps I should try to figure out what all this hype about Futagoyama is all about....

Futagoyama beya has an KZbin channel where they show the daily routines, food and overall life in the stable, the videos have English subtitles and provide some really insightful info about wrestlers and their lives. Naturally, having this sort of access and getting to know the rikishi better, people feel more connected to the wrestlers and cheer for them. Hopefully some other beyas will follow the same path, it’s awesome to see rikishi out of the ring and get to know their personalities better.

Urutora is 4-2! and his 2 losses were hard-fought. love that lil guy, such heart & soul. And as Arthur already replied, Futagoyama wrestlers are the stars of the very popular Sumo Food channel, there's nothing quite like that channel out there. Highly recommend!

@@ArthurCrimson couldn't have said it better myself, futagoyama is the first sumo KZbin channel I found and it feels like I'm spending time with the futagoyama stable when I watch the videos. Roga is a beast. I enjoy watching them cook too. Futagoyama stables way of cooking and eating and dinner table setting is different from my daily life so it's very interesting. To be completely fair they have English subtitles and it's the main reason I've watched every single one of their KZbin videos. It's easier to understand what's going on. 🙂
