the secondary winding of both transformers are connected in such away that both the wires coming out of them is of same polarity the how does current flows in secondary even when switch is closed??

When applying voltage by auto transformer, why do not instruments read the local or circulating current in the another side??!! I mean why does not the current flow through the ammeter & wattmeter W1?? Another question plz, Why does a small current require by auto transformer? Why is it small?

Sir ,the two secondaries of of two trfs are connected in series opposition when the test is conducted for SC the rated current is applied but how currents flowing in secondary when it is connected in series opposition...?

Here phase opposition is in secondary not in Primary in secondary hence secondaries cancelled

Varsha Mishra bcz in first condition as described induced EMF in both the secondaries will cancel each other and these secondaries will act like open circuit.. to measure the shunt line parameters.

If two voltages are in phase apposition then only switch will be closed otherwise voltages are add up hence more stress on windings since winding resistance is small they may get short circuit in order to avoid short circuit condition switch is used

Your concept is wrong...how can voltage zero give open circuit...rather current should be zero..
