It's unfortunate that bad GPS is good for business. While it's easy to blame drivers for putting too much faith in GPS, we really should be blaming the GPS providers, especially Google, which many of these services now use, for their bad software and outdated maps. There's really no excuse, especially when the errors are reported and they still don't fix them. Anyway, excellent work once again by Team Sumter. This was a good demonstration of patience, knowing the limits and capabilities of your wrecker, and the importance of local knowledge. 🥇

Great job as always, there is nothing better than experience to learn when you know you need to do something that seems so wrong like leaving the road and at times even putting yourself in the ditch to do the job. I was once called to assist another tow company in another county on a icy country road and when I arrived with our 1965 International 1600 Loadstar oilfield winch truck that was much smaller than the wrecker already there the driver was furious that he was waiting for two hours and my company sent a toy truck, I asked him why he needed help and he said his truck wouldn’t set still even though he had chains on, when told him if he would move out of the way I would pull the guy out he laughed and said you haven’t even got chains on but I’ll move so I backed into the deep ditch on the opposite side pulled the truck out then chocked the wheels on the truck I pulled out and winched myself out of the ditch

It's a CRST truck, it don't surprise me the driver tried to go a dodgy route. As the tired ole saying goes, "You get what you pay for!" I'm generally tired of that saying, as it's overused. HOWEVER there are circumstances where it is definitely truth, & this is one of them. I started my driving career with CRST over 20 years ago. At that time they were paying their team drivers $0.22CPM while other companies were paying their team drivers $0.44CPM. When I turned in my resignation, they asked me what if anything would get me to come back. When I told them what the other companies were offering for compensation, they said they COULDN'T match it! CHEAP labor ISN'T skilled, & skilled labor ISN'T CHEAP!
