My brother passed away recently in a tragic way and about two years prior he requested that we play this song at his funeral if anything ever happened to him. In musical bliss with his eyes closed...and all my anger, hurt, fear and heartache just melted away. I too was at peace while this song played. I can't really connect this music to a beach scenario. More like being in an eternal adventure. Going from one city to another in your old trusty car. Working, or stealing, as much as needed to stay alive. For a guy from central Europe this sounds like a dream, a beautiful one.

(hotline miami spoilers) This song imo fits Hotline Maimi so perfectly. The Bongo drums and sounds of the beach fit the tropical city aesthetic of Miami and Hawaii, while the echoey synth and vocals are impending a sense of euphoric doom, that being the nuclear war, thats about to break out. that was probably so corny

Everytime I listen, the only emotion that comes across is sadness. It really just brings about a reflection upon a past that desires to be forgotten by thou who rediscovered it.
