Sun Fading My Vintage Carhartt Double Knee Pants

Nice work. A lot of ppl think abrading the fabric and washing a lot is what makes them fade, but it's mostly UV.

Yeah I used to do roofing and masonry and wore Carhartts or other similar carpenter pants. My brown pants would be super faded around the hips and down, but they'd be less faded at the top around my waist because my t shirt would cover that part. Also less faded between my legs since obviously less sun reaches there. I don't do those jobs anymore bc fuck that but I still like buying vintage Carhartts and I can always tell when they're faded from the sun or if they were "fake" vintaged

Not true certain quality fabric fade into a nice grey or brown all depending on the dye used in the beginning

Cool video style. Wish you made more videos. I have read that to speed up the process one can do these steps: -Wash clothes on warm a few cycles. -Soak in slat water a few days, helps break down the fibres. -Repeat warm wash -Hang in sun few days -Salt wet clothes throughout the day while they hang (e.g. in morning and evening with a spray bottle). Baking soda can be used too -Pour boiling water on the item every couple days.

Thank u so much. I think I love carhartt double knee pants as much as u. I just got my first pair and a Detroit jacket and I’ve been searching everywhere for an easy method and yours is by far the safest and best. 2 months everyday right?

Looks nice my carhartt pants faded into a gross brown on the thighs. I guess only the vintage ones fade into that nice grey.
