Due to problems after arriving in Tampa, I had to rent a car and drive home. Join me on my Legacy rescue plan to get it home.

Loved your dog in the back seat of the car, looked like he was listening intently. Sorry about your troubles with the plane. Appreciate your cool, calm and collected demeanor.

That split cam is pretty amazing.👌

Your diagnosis of the oil loss and manifold pressure loss issues definitely make sense. In the video I could see the smoke coming out of the left exhaust every second or two. Hope the fix is speedy.

I'm anxious to get it back so we can open it up and see what is really going on. Let's see how close our diagnostics are.

Sounds like a good plan. Good to have those engine instruments working, especially when you're worried about running low on oil. Hope all goes well on your return.

I would not fly it without engine instruments. I had a complete engine failure in a Bonanza due to oil loss several years ago and the only indication was oil pressure went to zero within seconds. All temps and engine indications stayed normal until the engine came apart. Luckily I was able to glide into Bonifay Florida. I wrote an article at airlinepilotguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Bonanza-Engine-Failure-Article.pdf

Any buyers remorse? I do not know if that plane flies like a fighter, but it costs like one. Speed isn’t cheap. Hell, even an auto turbo is expensive. Hope your luck improves! Thanks for the movie.

I'm enjoying the process. Once I get it finished this will be one of the nicest Legacys around. New panel, new interior, and maybe air conditioning. Stay tuned!
