God bless you Father Chris. You were on fire with the Holy Spirit this morning and thank you for including so many wise nuggets into your homily. I promise you have not offended me. You have emboldened me with ALL of your teachings. This election cycle has been exhausting and like you I have put it in God’s hands. Wearing Swag for my preferred political candidate around my condo complex has helped me identify those who are unenlightened. I don’t do it to be in their faces but hoping they will ask me why I lean the way I do. But again, it’s been exhausting and stressful. Sometimes I wear the red volunteer cap from the Nat’l Shrine, and until people come up close and see the logo, that is a trigger also. Imagine, we live in a time where one can be hated for wearing a simple red hat! And then there’s all my engagement on social media. Ugh. I pray today for you and all of our wonderful and beloved Marian priests. I pray that you continue to guide the men in formation and discern the best candidates. Agreed some priests are weak on these election topics but I pray that some parishioners stop picking on them because I think that’s part of the problem as well. Trying to remember to say everything with love.. I guess every priest does not have the heart of a lion, although he should. I must comment when I watched you elevate the monstrance at benediction yesterday and gaze lovingly on the holy Eucharist, it was a very beautiful moment. Thank you for preaching extensively about priests. It makes me want to watch the movie Fr Stu and the Mark Wahlberg episode of LDM again. I have alerted my New York, New Jersey Connecticut friends about your Thursday night talk. I hope it will be recorded so we can watch it at some point. Wow, I wrote a lot but it was a very inspiring homily. God bless you now and always. Fr Chris! I am looking forward to visiting at the end of the month for the first weekend of Advent.

Please pray for my son Anthony Joseph who is not practicing Catholicism and it’s his birthday today. Please also pray for my eldest son Marc James who is also fallen away. They are both good upstanding young men but I know they feel hurt by the way the Church has been led and I failed them in many ways also as I was not properly catechized growing up after the II changes… in the 70’s.
