GREAT tour, great improved deluxe balcony room too. I love the 3-seat full size couch that make this stateroom akin to a mini-suite on their other class ships. ADORE the glass shower door versus Princess's former shower curtain -- the one that attempts to mummify us while we shower 🙂 The soothing color pallet of the room seals the deal. I also love that there's not table lamps bolted down to the bedside tables anymore... more room for "stuff"! And my favorite.... SHOWER DOORS!! Yes. Those of us who love Princess know about the beds. I still don't think I will like the cabinets instead of the usual Pricess set up, but I will still be happy to be on Princess always. Plus I am a huge fan of the Voronkova Sisters and unfortunately I will miss them this time.

Wow, such a beautiful looking cabin. They made several great changes. I immediately noticed that the cabin numbers don’t have deck letter (R-Riviera) but instead shows as deck number (14212 instead of R212). I’m glad you mentioned the couch/bed configuration because I was wondering if it was like that in all cabins. I actually liked how it looks with the bed close to the glass door.

Thanks and I love your videos and tours. I have a cruise on the Sun Princess in the fall. On the Princess app it said the bed on close to the entrance instead of by the balcony. Is this a problem in the cabin?? We have cruised mostly on Princess and Royal Caribbean. Like them both!!

We are still thinking back and forth on taking this cruise ship in May 2025 out of Italy for our 15 year anniversary. I had heard that the average age of people sailing with Princess is slightly higher than other cruises. Thoughts on this?

Glad it was helpful! It’s really just personal preference. I had some friends who stayed in the configuration with the bed by the window and they felt like the fan was blowing right on their head overnight. So there’s probably benefits to each configuration.

I think the small lip on the open drawers of the closet are new. Those could be useful! I do love the new glass doors for the shower, but being a family of four, we’re planning to bring a curtain to attach to the outside of the shower stall, so if someone is showering, someone can still use the sink. I know you were solo on this trip, but did you get a sense of where the 4th bed might be? Not sure if it folds into the ceiling like on Sky princess. Thanks!

What about those annoying lights below nightstand that come on when anyone gets out of bed. Did they go away? I gated them cause it would wake me up everytime my husband or cabin mate got up to use bathroom

Nice video. I was interested to get a better look at the stateroom arrangement. The new closet arrangement is interesting as it faces into the entry hall space. Not a problem as a solo traveler but I think it might create a bottleneck for couples or families in these cabins. Is twin bed configuration available in these cabins?

Yes, that is correct. However, Princess does not provide that information on booking. You would have to find a photo or video of a particular state room and then assume that the room next to it will be in the opposite configuration.
