They had a really good variety of Gluten free dishes and deserts, probably as good a choice as we saw on Celebrity Apex, which was the best we'd seen up to then.

Thanks for doing this video! We are highly considering the Sun Princess for a Eastern Mediterranean vacation in about a year. Everything looks amazing! I had a few questions about the informal dining options (and any advice you may offer). So you said that there was Shawarma on the Lido Deck, but there is also a Mediterranean counter in The Eatery. Is there Shawarma (or Gyros) there as well? Is there pizza available with just the standard cruise fare or are you required to upgrade to access pizza? As first time cruisers to the Mediterranean, I imagine we will be exhausted coming back from port visits or may not make it back for our dining time. Do I understand that the walk-in dining is part of Soleil/Eclipse restaurant? If it is formal night do they enforce on that deck/portion of the restaurant? I don't know if we are going to have the energy to get gussied up lol. Will the Eatery be an option if we dont participate in a formal night? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Hi Oren, thank you, and you are very welcome. We saw Gyro's in The Eatery on one occasion but neither of us remember Shawarma there, only on the pool deck grill. On the pizza side, yes, there is pizza available on the pool deck (near Shawarma) and in the Eatery. Alfredos is a upcharge unless you have Princess Plus or Premium, then it is included (twice on Plus and Unlimited on Premier). Formal night on Princess, is increasingly not that forced, and we don't recall any restaurants turning people away in non-formal wear. Formal night has become more a dress to impress/date night, type dress up, rather than tuxedo. We have to admit, having now cruised on a few ships with this type of buffet alternative, we do prefer it, but that's not to say that the traditional buffets are great too. Celebrity Apex's was amazing

If you get the Princess Plus package and you decide to have one of the costlier glasses of wine, do you pay the full menu price for the wine plus the 18% gratuity, or do they just bill the difference between the $15 and the increased cost??

Hi Fran, yes you can just pay the difference if it is over your limit, plus 18% gratuity on that difference. So if the drink was $16 for instance you would get a bill of $1.18. Hope that makes sense?

Nice video but female spoke too softly could not hear her very well- I am so glad to see that they have chicken options- just came back from celebrity cruise it was 95% beef and pork- I don’t eat beef and pork

Perhaps unsurprisingly the American Diner menu for the top MDR looks to be almost exactly the same as P+O's 6th street diner on Arvia, shared Carnival group parentage showing.

We've not been on Arvia yet, but have seen plenty of videos of the diner on there, and the menus are very similar, although Princess's dedicated cocktail menu on there is VERY different, if you like cocktails, it is worth heading in their for a meal at least once, even if you just got a starter or dessert and then try some of those drinks.

Completely agree Mark, it is one of the things we love about it, and we said similar on Virgin with their Galley concept too, reduces food waste massively, and you know it is fresh.
