The reason that Coffee Currents is needed is because of the sheer volume of cruisers that will be on board compared to the rest of the fleet. On the three Excel Class ships of Carnival, which is the same platform as the Sun Princess & Star Princess they have 3 locations that you can get upgraded coffee at. They have the possibility of 6300 passengers onboard. With the two Sphere Class ships having about 4300 passengers, a second location would be needed since the line at the IC would be massive in the morning if that was the only location to get upgraded coffee.

I don’t understand how sailing on the Sun Princess will change your mind about the look of the cabin. You toured the cabins on land. The style, layout, decor will not change once you cruise on sea. IMO the decor/color scheme is much better. They have not changed the layout of Princess cabins except adding the cabanas. This I like. I prefer cruise lines to be recognizable for their style/vibe. I like the familiarity that each cruise line represents. When I want a change, I’d rather visit another cruise line.

Thank you for your candid comments about the new Sun Princess. I would have to agree with everything you said regarding what you did not like. I would add that I do not like that it is a mega-ship with that many passengers. The exterior looks like a mega cargo freighter with a tumor on it.

Extremely upset over the 149 price of Spellbound. Was expecting it to be a show that they'd charge 39 for, which would be acceptable. Dropping 298 + 18% gratuity for the two of us, no thanks.

I totally disagree with you. Having a three course meal up close magic, unlimited drinks and then a show from the magic castle and a stay afterwards is well worth it for me. It is an experience i would not get everyday. But then again one must do what makes one happy and i cannot fault anyone for not wanting to spend the money…but i sure do!

@@eminiarviiThere are three shows each night, with each show consisting of a two hour window. If your three course meal that you pay substantially for is fed to you within an hour, that leaves you with an hour for drinks and entertainment at the bar, the main show in the mini showroom of 30 seats and a stay afterwards. Doesn't sound like a value spend of over 350.00 after gratuity to me. The KZbin videos praising the experience did not have the dinner, were done with influencers and they got the experience for free. Once paying customers drop the 350+ per couple and they provide feedback as to the value, then I'll believe it. Once again, I don't think the meal aspect should have been included.

@@GM-rm7ri yes i know about the 3 shows. I appreciate your view point but it is still something i will be delighted to participate in and Its just me🚢🙂. Ps. I will be sailing 3/22/25 for the Transatlantic and i will make the ultimate determination if it is worth it for me🙂

I agree with you about the dome….seems like a lot of wasted space and the lack of decor is very evident…it’s an odd looking space…i think the Atrium looks ok but again, the lack of decor and the WOW is missing…. I sail on her in a few months and cant wait to experience it all for myself

Thanks for your input! Well, feels like something is missing. I would have done what Royal did with their Solarium and made a chill space with some hot tubs and lounges. they could easily have made that and still be able to turn it into a theatre at night😅 Cheers from Stockholm

They have Coffee Currents because the coffee at the International Cafe sucks! Don’t confuse those delicious sandwiches and desserts with their coffee. I hope Currents is as good as the coffee looked in your video.

Had to go back and fact-check myself on that one since i know very well Hot Pot is Chinese, but i cant find where i state that?😅 I do say before that we are going to stay in Asian and Japanese style, and later that i think the design of the restaurant is Modern Japanese and still traditional🤔Sorry if i was unclear though!
