It is wonderful to see that Sun Ra is finally getting wider recognition. Everything about him, his poetry and music, is elevating and expansive. The lineage of Afro Futurism throughout time is a creative and empowering journey all people can learn from.

What do you do when you know that you know, - that you know you are wrong? You've got to face the music! Simply brilliant.

I was 15 when I saw this live. This wonderful show, that aired after SNL, changed my life. As a musician, this show changed my whole way of engaging with art and the world. This performance/experience stood out above all that I can remember.

Rest assured, we are ALL going to be with Sun Ra. He'll be there as an ambassador for us with bells on, welcoming us with free Kemet cats, and piccolos made of amethyst for us all to be part of his new band The Eternal Ra Chorus And Chorusettes! :) And boy, the MUSIC WE WILL MAKE!

Not meaning to be "that guy", but this is not Saturday Night Live. It was a program called Night Music, also produced by NBC.
@whatsforafters78433 жыл бұрын
Read the description, again: "Sunday Night Live".... not Saturday. Before it was re-branded as "Night Music", it was "Sunday Night (Live)". Wikipedia has more on that, as do a few other websites.
