O Father Matthew, I thank you so much for your extraordinary Homily on today's Gospel Reading when Jesus enlightens His Disciples on what Greatness is. He uses a little child to represent what is pleasing to the Almighty Father in Heaven: If you show Love (Charity) to one of these little ones, this is the example of Greatness in the eyes of God, Our Almighty Father in Heaven. And, so, in doing this, we become as little children, learning all about the practice of Humility and Patience, the virtues Jesus and Mary, who are made perfect in them. Father Matthew, the Blessed Holy Trinity and Blessed Mary, Our Mother are all shining their Faces on you today, Amen.

It’s always very consoling every time the name of Jesus is mentioned. Thank you, Fr. Matthew, for your beautiful homily reminding us that the way to greatness is the cross. Indeed, we carry our cross in imitation of Jesus with deep gratitude and humility of heart. Our daily crosses are not always easy and pleasant, but if we focus on Jesus it becomes lighter to bear and more united to our Savior. As we carry our cross, we must learn not to complain but accept it with love, peace and joy.
