Hey, JT. Good luck at the podcast venture. I think you should be good at this. You made this podcast interview into a nice, informal conversation. It was also very informative. I especially like hearing Dennis's foray into various WoEs, such as vegetarianism and veganism, before finding the one that works for him. I'm very glad to hear that Dennis is doing better. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, like fibromyalgia or tinnitus, is one of those diseases that have no mechanism that we can test for. We are literally relying on the patient's word for what symptoms they're experiencing. There is no medical test where we can measure certain levels and say, "Ah, I see you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!" It takes the patient coming forward and saying, "I feel so tired sometimes, that when I'm in the shower, I can't raise my hands to wash my hair." We have no idea what causes it, we cannot medically test for it. And, to make matters worse, there are some physicians that will insist that these diseases don't even exist. I even knew a doctor who flat-out said that there's no such thing as fibromyalgia. Anyhow, nicely done. You seem to have a knack for this. You started out good, and you'll get even better.

Fantastic. so much here. I remember all those fads, heavy cardo very low fat in the diet. And of course growing up in the 60s I remember when Margarian replacing butter was all the craze. some of this interview very in-depth regarding oils and cooking chemistry, was above my learning but my wife understood it all. She in the cooking chemist in this house and is up on all the news with it. There again great interview especially given my now age of 70. As JT stated. At this age mistakes need to be limited. Buy The way. DID not see the wine discussion.

Very interesting podcast Jerry, thank you. I also have dabbled in vegetarianism, plant based, carnivore with varying results, mostly good. Some research I've found interesting of late is a recent study out of Harvard medical which was conducted over a ten year period. It was based around different diets and they found a diet of predominantly plants and fish resulted in 10-15% more longevity in life than a standard diet of meat and three veg. Also, that red meat isnt the issue itself when it came to health issues, rather the chemicals produced in the gut when digesting red meat which are the main contributor to heart disease. Very interesting. Hoping to see some more podcats in the future!

You are pretty ignorant on the science. And just because the were used doesn't make them healthy. In fact, that's exactly the point. I'll add that sesame oil is used very sparingly, just for flavor.

@@Seanonyoutube It's a little hard to argue with results. If he looks that good at his age, it could be that "seed oils bad saturated fat good" is correct. Human beings and their ancestors, after all, have been living on saturated fat for millions of years, literally longer than the human race. Seed oils have only come around in the last century or so. So, these foods that are high in saturated fats have very literally made us into the species we are. Without it, we would not even be human beings.
