"Water never killed anyone" Friendly reminder that Wukong is essentially useless when submerged. He absolutely cannot fight while underwater and sinks like a rock. He typically has to rely on Zhu Baije, since he actually can fight in water. Also, the part with Ao Guang is great because Sun Wukong basically bullied Ao Guang and his brothers into giving him gifts, since he was so strong. He even took the Ruyi Jingu Bang from Ao Guang's palace, because all other weapons were too weak and fragile for the Monkey King. Ao Guang, one of the great Dragon Kings, was humiliated and bullied by a monkey. He was also humiliated by Ne Zha, a child who was, like, 8 years old.

I find it so funny that people don’t realize the connection between Goku and Wukong. Goku is based on the monkey king, he used to have a tail, a staff and a flying cloud when he was younger. This comp made me realized that Revenge of the Spider queen was seriously, for me atleast , like peak SWK animation , in my opinion it's the best he's looked during any other eps , his expressions r so diverse and cheeky , like the whole bit where he "tricks" dbk into breaking the webs is just * chef's kiss* I seriously cant recall them ever animating him like that again, like the expressions r so uniquely him, like you couldn't just paint over them and have them look like someone else's face( which they do tend to reuse animations here and there) , and thats why i'm guessing they haven't done so again, to make animating faster r smthn, I really wish they did tho 💓
