Jess I can't express how much I appreciate all the effort you are putting into vlogmas. These vlogs have been so cozy and have helped me relax and get into the Christmas spirit! I am so excited to see the final result with the house, its gonna look amazing!

A while ago, I studied and watched videos about minimalism….. and eventually things became easier to manage. I used to have a large library of homeschool books and materials from preschool to college. In events that were unforeseen~ it was gone….and though I mourned, there was a freedom that I felt~ and now I am keeping things in mind as they are needed~ minimally , so less to manage, more time for real relationships. Also, packing cubes REALLY, REALLY helped with packing and traveling. One more thing😁~ I lived in my very nice campervan for one summer~ it has lessons built-in. When many things bogg one down… voluntary changes are easier than involuntary ones.

Jess, I'm sorry things have felt overwhelming recently :( as someone else pointed out, we can wait for your vlogs to go up while you take care of yourself and family 💙 On the flip side, this has been one of my favorite vlogmas episodes, particularly because of the coffee, makeup & books 😊

Jess, I love watching your vlogs and as a new mum to a 3 month old I completely understand how you feel. Sometimes you just want to get things done! But I have to be reminded to slow down and look after myself, sleeping, resting and just not doing anything productive are worthwhile. Just enjoy your christmas and don't pressure yourself to get vlogmas out ❤ you have created a life and now have to look after it constantly and that is work enough 😊❤ Sending you lots of love, you are smashing it ❤

Jess, you always complain about the lighting but I love your blogs because of that yellow light ✨I also think it suits your skin so much! Don’t fuss about it! ALSO for packing I suggest you to do outfits for each day, it’s just better and less troublesome ~ also you can just read on your kindle and not pack any books … it will be less stuff ad it’s really not necessary!

Agreed with most of the comments- we can wait for the vlogs and ultimately want you to take care of yourself and really enjoy this time of the year. Your vlogs have been an absolute joy but if it means it's draining you please take care 🤍✨🎄

I also mistakenly referred to it as iq84 for the longest time but it’s 1q84! I continue to read murakami but his writing has definitely lost some of it’s glamor for me as I’ve gotten older. I’m sure you’ve touched on some of the issues in his writing before as well!

Hey Jess, you mentioned about your back a few times now...hope its getting better! Just in case you've not tried the shati mat yet but it really really helped my partners back and hes been using it every night since. He even got his sister and niece one too!!

I don’t know if Jess mentioned before but why did they decide to buy a Victorian house and do so much reno as compared to just buying a readymade modern look type house ? Like is doing Reno cheaper than compared to buying a new house ?
@kendramadelyn3 жыл бұрын
Definitely not cheaper in this case. Their house is massive, in zone 2, and is requiring a full gut Reno. It’ll likely end up costing double what they could have paid for a decent ready-move house in the same location. Suppose it’s either a long term investment (albeit the mentioning of them selling it in the future?) or a desire to have a bespoke house - which seems to be the case here.

I just finished Killing Commendatore by Murakami and I loved his writing but the payoff was less than desirable in my opinion. I also found his way of describing young girls bizarre and disturbing.

I love murakami’s writing but the portrayal of women in his stories are questionable and it sucks cos he is a modern writer so he should know better
