I read Braiding Sweetgrass a couple years ago and it is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. Her writing is wonderful, and the book really changed the way I look at the world. This month I also read her other book Gathering Moss, which I also enjoyed!

Sometimes it’s so dangerous for me to watch book hauls. I invariably will add about 3 more books to my TBR. WOOF. life is so hard...

this was so warming and interesting to watch! I haven't done a big book haul in ages because I really prefer wandering through a bookshop and browsing the shelves and picking up books, which I'm tremendously missing right now! I've just been shopping my shelves instead which has actually been really enjoyable but a few of these books, especially 'Pew' you've made me really want to order now!

I'm curious to see what you think about The Children of Time! My dad is a huge science fiction lover, so I bought him that book around a year ago. He just couldn't get into it! But if you enjoy science fiction, please read the Gateway series by Frederik Pohl! I can't stress enough how incredible it is.

Oh I have to comment again! DeLillo...just slays me. I know most people are over DeLillo now but good Lord he is just one of the best writers I've ever read. Read every one. Try The Body Artist (novella) if you enjoy White Noise. Beauuuutiful.
@Amy-qb4tk3 жыл бұрын
Really interested to see what you think of White Noise! I just read it with my dad, a college professor, and we were stunned that people found the writing about academia to be funny because it everything he wrote seemed totally plausible as American academia can be so ridiculous. DeLillo can be rant-y (a couple times I annotated my copy with 'OK Don, we get it') but damn is it an interesting read during a global pandemic.
