Hi, first I must say I love your content. Been a wannabe gun sexual since MHGU but watching your vids has made me a better set builder and better gunner. You were and still are what I strive to be someday lol Second, I rolled in qurio gatcha and managed to get spare shot level 2 on my rakna chest piece. This freed up a level 2 slot and allowed my to get a scorn magnamalo piece in the build for final boss lbg. I was still able to get 100 % affinity with Crit Eye 5. Here is what I have on my set. I only did the Rapid Fire normal 2 build on Gold Rathian LBG. I didn’t expect I could also do Spread 3 build as well. I’ll definitely add this to my build and give it a shot.

I actually have a variation of that since I like the look of the GRath LBG. Except that I couldn’t fit in Rapid Fire so instead I just go ham on Normal Up. It’s been working pretty great, near solo’d the final boss except for some randoms that came at the end. I use the exact same build for GRath HBG and honestly I’m unsure which is better, I’m getting decent times for me for both.

ive been using the spread 3 garangolm light bow gun with silencer ballistics 3 and crit fire power ... on a bloodlust/deriliction build with max resentment .. had some pretty good quiro armour rolls as well ... i dont mind less distance for shots as have evade extender 2 to close gap and ballistics 3 helps ..did the double zinogre quest in 7 minutes with build so works pretty well but ill give this build a try as well.

I feel like in a practical sense Goldian LBG could lose out simply due to the clip size. The potential to mis one or two hits in each opening due to reloading is much higher.

I've been using Gold Rath for a few days now to try something different and yeah, stationary reload doesn't matter much. I don't think it's ever gotten in the way or caused me an issue when it mattered.

Yeah, this build is crazy. I tried both types of pierce 2, as well as Rapid spread, and this does between 2-4x the amount of damage for those three for me. Appreciate it, it makes a noob like me look like I know what I'm doing.

I'd build this but Gold Rath decides she wants to drop just one weave (if any) per hunt out of five. gaismagasm is just too good. I like using Daora soul on it with Bloodlust to not rely on Max Might and so I don't have to worry about rolling too much with EE2

at first I thought, ok at least I can walk while shooting, standing reload probably not gonna be that bad. But when I tried it, I hate standing reload so much lol. Also I found the problem that if I get too close to the monster sometimes the dmg get lower, I assume because it's mess up the critical firepower range or something?(not too close, not too far idk I normally only play marksman).Which is not suit my play style that I like to face-planted into monster. But thx for the build anyway, interesting build!

yeh not everyone. Some people that messaged me actually are starting to believe it outdamages gaismagorm still with broken setups all thanks to that slots and affinity it has but yes - go with what is the best for your playstyle. That will always be the best build.

Hmm I’ll have to try this. The loss of damage and clip size might be worth it. I love how hard the last boss gun hits but damn is the range bad even with ballistics 3. Kinda tired of having to put the barrel on the monsters face to get damage. Also my storage/arc greaves rolled a chain crit and my rakna coil rolled an extra spread up so my sets can be pretty damn good. Gonna build it later thanks for the inspiration and something new to build

i didnt like the garangolm lbg (i dislike reload while walking lol) so i played all the time the Luci da Lavater with crit firepower and longbarrel - it deals rly good dmg AND has slots. have nearly the set you are running (silver solhelm,rakna mail, barroth vambraces, rakna coil) but with bloodlust from boots. thank you for showing me the gold rathian weapon. it has besser slots and can reach fastest reload (my luci da lavater has only fast reload) but has 1 clipsitze less then my gun. thats a good tradeoff and i can now get other boots, cause i dont need bloodlust anymore. i like stong off meta stuff !

I managed to get Chain Crit 2 and Ammo Up 3 due to Qurious Crafting however I lost 5% Affinity. I guess it's a good trade!

I like the set I’m running for the final boss lbg. Attack up 5, Wex 3, Max Might 2, Spread up 3, crit boost 3, Resentment 2, bloodlust 1, coalesces 1, mail of hellfire1, ballistics 2, reload speed 3, recoil down 3, spareshot 1. With the weapon augmented with affinity and attack, i can get up to 95% affinity on weak spots. I haven’t augmented the armor yet. My tali is a attack 3 1/1 slots

It's solid but I'm not sure it's better. The raw differencial is huge but it's way easier to build around and it's spread long barrel, if there is a weak spot to hit it shreds ^^'. static reload is imho a bit scary on spread tho. I don't like that.

Another thing is the addition of the 3-1-1 slots over the final boss gun having none. Some incredibly well stated items (Kaiser Helm and Ingot Greaves) can fairly easily roll their 1 slots into 2 slots for added flexibility with minimal rerolling. I'm really liking the idea of this gun the more I think about it Also the final boss gun clashes hard with fashion sets because of the blue accents and we all know fashion is the real endgame

Long barrel also increases your critical distance so it makes you play closer to the monster if you use silencer instead.

Ah abyssal hailstorm is a 380 raw with fastest and low recoil on spread and pierce, even with negative affinity its easier to raise affinity than raw.

Ahh but the thing is… that raw is easily beaten by critical fire power. And if they both have critical fire power gaismagorm will surely lead probably BUT it will be good DPS wise on PAPER on a real hunt - the goldie would probably have more damage up time. I get your reasoning tho.

Are you seriously that worried you’ll get hit in the 1 second it takes to reload? You have fastest reload it’s an extremely quick animation

There are numerous ways to safely reload, Fanning Manuever, Fanning Vault and Sillbind Glide let you reload while moving. Evading while not as cool as Iceborne let you dodge first reload second. Finally Bladescale Hone(if you get lucky via gaining three extra 2 slots) also keeps you reloaded when you perfect dodge. Thats 5 ways, there might be more I'm missing but thats from memory.

I suspect it's because talismans are complicated due to RNG. He has to account for a variance in what talismans any random player will have. He does say you can do it with "any 3-2-1" talisman, meaning literally any talisman with a level 3, level 2 and level 1 gem slot on it. There are many ways to make this build with talismans, but your best 3-2-1 tali will do the job if you're unsure how to min/max your skill points
