Oh for the people talking about making a new police force, i got a name for ya. You can call the the Community Organized Protection Squad or C.O.P.S for short.

👏THANK👏YOU👏 this is how you should do it. Make a video, get feedback, do more research, have another more well rounded informed response. If other people like you, especially those in the public limelight did something similar we’d all be in a better place. This is the perfect example of an informed opinion, you’ve listened to videos from people who are dealing with this first hand and making your own judgement which is perfectly allowed. Now I’ve had too much wine and am going to bed GOODNIGHT KEVIN

It has always really bothered me that bringing up statistics of different racial groups is immediately seen as racist. The disparity between the statistics of one racial group and another are nearly always not due to race, instead they are due to a myriad of other variables.
@sydlittle95214 жыл бұрын
The "myriad of other variables" at least in my opinion are a result of America's history of racism. The economic and social disparities that cause crime and affect black people disproportionately definitely didn't just pop up overnight out of nowhere.
@madratthemighty4 жыл бұрын
Syd Little Then you will have to prove the link between the “history of racism” and each individual variable. I’ll give you an example, fatherlessness, the statistics clearly show that an increase in fatherlessness is directly linked to higher crime rate. You will now have to show exactly how the rate of two parent households is directly linked to racism.

@sydlittle95214 жыл бұрын
@@madratthemighty In response to your original comment, I agree that merely quoting stats that are unflattering to black people shouldn't automatically make people assume that you are racist. Such stats are plentiful and easy to find. I'll ask you this though: where do you think these discrepancies came from? If you take two groups of people, and find that one constantly underachieves vs another, you might conclude that one is inherently inferior to the other (which would actually make you a racist), or if you believe all people are actually created equal, you ask "what are the circumstances that allowed this to happen?" If you really need someone to break down how every single discrepancy leads back to racism then I will, but it sounds like willful ignorance on your part.
@UnholyWrath32772 жыл бұрын
@@sydlittle9521 the thing with using statistics and variables is you can make the numbers fit whatever narrative you want. While the U.S does obviously have a history of racism so does pretty much every other country on earth that wasn't a homogeneous population so it's not exactly unique. Also at this point the system itself has the laws for people to be treated equal but they are not always enforced. there will always be individuals that abuse their power and use race as a tool but at this point what are you gonna change to eliminate this inherent racist bias. Everyone acknowledges and dislikes that it still exists but I never see anyone ever actually wanna offer a idea on how to improve it

The fact that you know Thomas Sowell is the best part of this video. (Highly recommend the youtube video 'the ethnic flaw' and the audio book 'basic economics' also on youtube). He's a genius.

I've been loving the recent SOCs Albino, always been a fan, but something feels different lately. Anyways, you definitely gotta love the people defending the riots either with "These riots are justified and are the only way change will happen" or the new angle they came up with where they say "Only white supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and undercover cops (or some combination of the three) are starting these riots". It's seriously crazy the mental gymnastics these people will do to make themselves feel like they're fighting for justice. People (and brands of course, but you covered that) are coming out and taking like never before about how much they care, they're all changing their profile pictures to the BLM fist and posting the black squares, but once this all blows over they'll stop caring until the next time something big like this happens. Anyways, keep up the great work, hope I can catch a stream sometime soon.

Easily one of the best SOCs to date. Everything here needed to be said, Albino is just the only person with the balls and at least at reasonably sized platform to get this message out. Watch this back in 6 months or a year and tell me 95% of it wasn’t common sense everyone should’ve had from the start.

I'm sick of this whole thing happening, mostly because of how many problems it's caused for me personally. My best friend (at least I currently viewed him as such, that might not be the case for much longer...) chewed me out and caused an argument because I didn't make a #blacklivesmatter tweet. Yes, seriously. He thought I was racist because I condemned the looters while being understanding of the anger, but didn't put a bunch of disclaimers on like "no it makes sense that some people are looting because they might be able to pawn that flatscreen tv". Again, yes, seriously, that's what he said. He's known me for almost a decade but he suspects I'm racist because of what I'm *not* saying, it's stupid.
@scarlet80784 жыл бұрын
He'll get over it, & if he doesn't, then he's got other problems that are unrelated to you. Anyone who's known you for a decade & is judging u based simply on tweets isn't much of a friend. Here in NYC where I live, the rioters have been starting fires, stealing iphones & sneakers, causing the roads & bridges to be closed so we can't get to work (I work at the hospital, ya know, where we're treating a PANDEMIC). It's awful.

The brands thing wouldn't bother me so much if they also acknowledged the black lives taken by other black lives. But they don't, and pointing this out sets their rabid fanbase onto the warpath. And those brands have the gall to demand anyone who doesn't agree with them to leave. Saw that one on the game grumps official Facebook page.

it actually makes me mad that these people are now millionaires cause they had a family member die. not saying his death isn't sad and sure they should get help with the funeral. but a funeral isn't 13 million fucking dollars. yeah its crowdfunded. its not at all the families fault and i don't blame the family. but its stupid to give them THAT much money. its not gonna make your movement better to make one family rich.

There's a slew of issues i take with your stances, but I think you should shed perspective on how following these protests and riots, Minneapolis city council has stated intent to dismantle and defund their police department to be replaced with a different community based protection. New York is planning to reallocate police funding to youth and social services. After these protests and riots, the 3 other officers finally have been charged with aiding and abetting second degree murder and manslaughter. Nancy Pelosi and other house Democrats are reportedly drafting emergency police reform legislation Disagree if you'd like, however it's seeming that these protests and riots are causing actual reform, whereas peaceful protesting like what Kaepernick was doing, just got him called unpatriotic and worse.

I think your interpretation of the 99% stat is super generous. It doesn't mean they were justified 99% of the time the same way calling me an honest guy doesn't mean I'm actually truthful 99% of the time. I've been trying to get people to consider this as more of a police issue because everyone is more concerned about "owning" the other side than fixing the huge problem of police officers being absolute garbage at their jobs
