Not sure about MM but they are about 2" average depending on shape

I get my beads at craft stores, Its tough to find them in larger sizes so I also look for thrift stores in the jewelry departments, A lot of vintage necklaces have larger glass beads for cheap. some of them are plastic but if tehy are clear enough they work just as well. the bottom prisms are cut crystal from Amazon
