I love the original version so much that it's hard to tell how I feel about this cover. the late Ronnie's voice is matchless. I quite like the vocals although,once more, I think this singer is more a barytone tha a tenor. I liliked that the guitar player kept a soundf close to Blackmore's trademark subtle "Stratocaster's sound" but he drastically changed the melody and this was probably Blackmore's best guitar solo ever and pretty much a written one, I think, for once. So it sounds a bit weird. I think it's good on the keyboard/arrangement side. It's a little bit too linear too, lacks the rhythmic contrast of the original, Some very brief "silences" have disappeared.

I am always up for a good cover (tribute). and all musicians have their own sound...however...Cozy's drum part is a must have! That is an essential part of the magic of this song. It's easy enough to do and yet I have never one single cover that got it right! Without that great pattern..the song goes flat. These are great players and I applaud them..but I can't hear it with that straight boring drum part.

The male vocalist's voice reminds me of Michael Bolton attempting to cover Dio and somehow it sounds great. Also, I wanted to hear more of the female singer instead of her harmonizing in the background.

Great musicians, but somewhere halfway through the solo, they lost me. Ritchie's is magical and this guitarist seems to have the technical skills to pull it off. For some reason, though, he veered way off in the middle and the song bogged down.
