The song about praying and God answered and "...that's why I trust Him," sounds sweet, and it was sung beautifully, but it's incorrect theology. There are times as in Job that God does not seem to hear our prayers, so would I be right to not trust Him? I trust in Jesus because number 1, He gave me the gift of faith, His Holy Spirit's seal over me, forgiveness, and eternal life, so I can't take credit for my faith or boast about any good work, including my faith. "For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift- not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do," Ephesians <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="128">2:8</a>-11.

Whether New Englanders like Pastor Hibbs' style of preaching or not, the onus is on us to adapt because of The WORD OF GOD is what matters, and Jack Hibbs preaches The Word excellently. We have a dearth of decent congregations in this NorthEast - so if we're rejecting this amazing teaching because we're so "refined" 🙄 we're losing out. We're so starved here for good Local Assemblies, no New Englander has a right to critique Hibbs' preaching. We tune in faithfully more than once/week (and have NO Local Assembly where we can worship). They're all Cults.

Pastor Jack, encouraging message about prayer and the spiritual battle we have daily. Thank you. Why, though, did you show the church the false hope held by navy seals? This "work" is all about self promotion, self realization through self effort, nothing about God or His Son, Jesus Christ, who proved to be the opposite of navy seals, who turned to You in continual true humility at every step so He could complete the first and last task. This navy seal thinking is mingled with paganism, as self abasement, self worship due to self achievement. As it is written: "Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement..." Colossians <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="138">2:18</a>.

I am not against Navy seals, I am sharing my point of view of how I am truly convinced Jesus is our only hope and what this Sargent shared was godless philosophy. He didn't mention God or Jesus and for me, I am thankful my God is not a drill sargent, He is aware of my weaknesses and I don't have to be strong, because He is. Today too many churches are lukewarm and it's scary to think when Jesus comes back for His Bride, how many will be left behind, it's a fact. Jesus warned us over and over. I pray every day for family, friends and neighbors to not be left behind for the worst time on earth. Jesus said this and I take it to heart. I rather offend and come off as speaking "poison," if it might cause someone to think they may need to get right with God and not think they are so strong and good and faithful on their own. I know many Christians who deny that Jesus is coming back and it's because of their optimism that is based on faulty knowledge of the Bible and prophecy. Many think there is a reprieve due to Trump, but the powers to be will probably do something to prevent him getting into office. That may sound poisonous to you, but the fact is that these globalists have an agenda that is to take place as written in Revelation 13, Daniel 9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2, to name a few and so I am ready to leave this earth when Jesus comes with a shout for His own. I hope you are ready as I hope for all believers, because Jesus explained in Matthew 25:1-13 that not all who say they are watching know Him. That is scary. So I warn and pray that everyone takes to heart we cannot be good and strong on our own. We cannot see ourselves as faithful even. @@JanMoore-z1x Hi, thank you, Jan, for commenting. I have nothing against navy seals and my intention was not to poison anyone, ha! I know someone who has a son who is a navy seal. Personally I don't equate following Jesus as following a drill sargent and my thinking goes along these lines that for me it is "negative" to see the Christian walk as you needing to do good works and it's your efforts. Yes, we want to give our all, but who should get the credit? It's not going to be me for it is God who is at work in me to will and to work His good pleasure. You may see my comment as negative, but others may be relieved by my comment, who are struggling, who feel like they aren't doing enough, they aren't good enough, they aren't strong enough spiritually, but it sure is freeing and encouraging when we realize no one is good, it's only Jesus who is, and it's His work on the cross that gets me into His kingdom first off, and not mine, it's His working through me that enables me to be and do what He has called me to be and do, which takes a lot of pressure off. So praise God Jesus is truly worthy and any of our good works, in the end, was by His doing, His grace and mercy in and through us. Praise God we can have differences of opinions on a film clip without seeing each other as an enemy trying to poison someone, ha! Hopefully we are both watching, waiting, witnessing, and warning as God leads us by His Spirit, ready to see Jesus soon when He comes for the Bride! I am so very Rapture Ready! In the meantime, I am praying for open doors to share the Gospel, because the day of seeing our redemption is so near, Luke 21:28. God bless you!
