Sunday 8:30 AM Eucharist

We welcome you in Jesus name to worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Eucharist as we celebrate the Third Sunday in Advent. Father Samuel David Zumwalt preaches “Holy Pastors: Rejoicing Over You” (Zephaniah 3:14-20). The color of the day is blue, which signifies the hope that is ours in Christ Jesus our Lord.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the singing of joyous hymns: “Rejoice, Rejoice, Believers” (Entrance); “Hark! A Thrilling Voice Is Sounding” (Hymn of the Day); “Awake, Awake, and Greet the New Morn” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “Blessed Be the God of Israel”; “Sing Praise to the God of Israel”, “Hark the Glad Sound.”
Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s organ prelude “Rejoice, Rejoice, Believers” (Manz); Bill Glisson & Jan Vick Betts play an organ/piano duet, “The Advent of our God” (Smith) at the 8:30 offering. Bill’s organ postlude “The King Shall Come” (Smith).
