Sunday afternoon in Wełnowiec.

Wełnowiec, an old industrial settlement in Upper Silesia - a part of coal mines and zinc metallurgy plants region with 250 years tradition. Situated North to Katowice and at present being the neighbouring suburb of that city.
In the video, a late Sunday sunny afternoon walk from the place where I live and a few moments caught on the way by my digital camera.
Details of the music - on the record label at the end of the video.
The record was offered me once by a great enthusiast of music and collector from Łódź, Mr Zdzisław Miller, a friend of mine, who passed away some 10 years ago.
Especially interesting thing seems to be a sticker on the label of that 1939 Walter Gisking's recording - it indicates that the record must have been gone through after war control organized over German legacy.

Późne, marcowe słońce (niedzielne) i długie cienie okazały się pociągające. To moje sąsiedztwo - nostalgie. I konny jeździec już w drodze powrotnej - jakby nie wiadomo skąd; a on stamtąd, rzeczywisty, niedzielny i jakby chętny na spotkanie z aparatem. Nad wszystkim - węgiel i niewinna radość dzieci.
