​@@FatherDave pray for me. I am being evicted from my apartment. I am being railroaded if you know what that means. I am 77 years old and disabled. I don't have anyone father. I have nowhere to go and no one to stay with. All my friends and relatives have either moved away or passed away. Supposedly, the apartment manager here messed up and wasn't putting in my rent correctly and last year I was robbed, drugged and raped but I do not remember about the rape. I was told about this from other people who watched. Went into the hospital and I had nine hallucinating drugs in me one being fentanyl. The doctor there said that it was an absolute miracle that I hadn't died. After that I went through post-traumatic stress and failed to pay 2 months rent and they didn't let me know about it until about a month and are now trying to evict me. I got a lawyer from legal aid but she hasn't been much help. I want to pay back the money and I've offered to pay back the money but they won't take it. Oh gosh father please please pray for me and have others pray for me too. I am the lady who wrote you at Christmas about me praying special prayers for the souls in purgatory being taken up to to heaven on Christmas. Love you and God bless you and yours, Romy 33

As far as confession; The day of atonement. When Jesus died the temple curtain tore from top to bottom... Opening our personal relationship with God. 'We' are all priests that can perform exorcism. Ask anyone who has had a NDE and you will hear there is no religion in Heaven. Jesus forgives. Remember there is a difference between confession and forgiveness. Believe what you are told to believe but I have not read it specifically in the NT that it is mandatory to go one time in one year to confession. ..or for that matter Catholicism vs any other religion especially after the East West schism is the 'official' way to Jesus. Laying on of hands is real but so is the power of God through whoever He has chosen to bless with His endowment. God bless you Father Dave it's not easy being a Catholic priest in this age of internal strife in the church and shortage of priests. I am glad you have Cragley who is definitely a little blessing with a huge heart.

This evening I’m in Salerno, Italy and attended a Saturday night mass in Italian at the Chiesa del SS. Crocifisso and had trouble understanding the readings and the homily so I thought watching your mass from Salerno tonight I’ll have a better idea of what the Padre was talking about. Great mass as usual Fr Dave. You talk about confession which I don’t do. I believe we should confess to God for what we have done. I don’t think it is a priests business what we have done. You said the way to heaven is through God. So I believe I should confess to him and him only. Father Dave please pray for my grandson Michael d who will be 31 on May 11 and a very difficult dilemma with his 9 year old daughter and her mother planning on moving 1100 miles back to Pa. from Iowa . ... There are several issues going on that are so in need of GOD's GRACE and Protection ... Michael is not with the mother of his child anymore at her decision but they get along for their daughter 's sake . Yes, be careful on the road. As always I enjoyed your message, I come from a Methodist/Baptist background, 8 years ago I converted to Catholicism and I have never looked back. When the time for someone to ask for repentance I can see what you were saying in the homily but I can also understand the concept of making a verbal confession of repentance as done in the protestant faith. The important part is salvation and baptism
