Sunday Drive On Hells Revenge

Got a call on a Sunday afternoon that a Toyota Tacoma that was stuck in Hells Gate on Hells Revenge Trail. He had gotten into a situation and had sucked oil into the cylinders. His buddy was there but when they were winching his truck was getting pulled down also. So I headed out to lend a hand. I got there and figured I would just hook up and pull him up, done it a bunch of times. I don't know how much stuff was under that camper shell but it was way heavy. I finally just ran a longer line out to pull him to the top and flat ground. Then they were gonna pull the plugs, clean the engine out and get it running again. So I headed back out. Then of course there's more random moving footage... Trust me, I'm hoping there's an end more than you guys. Thanks everyone for watching and supporting us.

The agree 100%, I can’t stand negative people that think they know everything! I don’t blame Rory one bit for being upset with the people watching and negative comments! We’re all here to enjoy Trail Mater Rory and his content, lily, Shawn and Mike are amazing also! I’m always glad to see Lily sharing time with dad and she’s definitely a trooper because I would probably be scared of some of Rory’s rescues, not her! Tacos are compact/midsize pickups. they load them up with 7-800 lbs worth of gear and accessories, put oversize wheels and tires on them and then are bewildered why their stock drivetrain can’t power it up a black diamond trail.

Those old big iron machining tools from the 40's, 50's are so damn heavy. I've been in houses and basements, that I'm just stunned to see a mill or a lathe sitting there . I'm asking how the hell the got it in there, one old timer dug down to his foundation took out a section of wall . Then brought the equipment in , rebuilt the wall and filled the foundation back in .that's determination.

As much grunt as Mater has that had to be one heavy Taco. The move looks to be going well. Overheating cameras kind of go hand in hand with filming in Utah. Thanks to Justin's good editing we don't even know when it happens. We just get a different view of the scenery. Thanks for sharing. Edit note. Casey did a review on his cameras. Tinfoil wrap as reflectors. Or bonus points if you weld something up from old heat reflectors from a scrapped SxS exhaust. Screens being off will help, also, if you aren't already doing that. Cheers!

Who else watches these videos to re-live their youth? I grew up with a dad who was an illiterate machinist. He could, and did fix ANYTHING. Literally, anything. Rory is his spirit animal (RIP Dad). One of his babies was a 1960's GMC wrecker we called "Bertha". Bertha brought entire bits of our house to our property, built the machine shop, dropped a piece of I beam on my head (while I was perched on top of the '69 GMC pickup that we used for hay and had to jump start via crossing the starter). Good times. Good times.
