Sunday flying - free flight & control line

There is more to our club than RC planes. Some of our senior pilots started out with control line and free flight planes as it was the cheapest way to get into the hobby, and they never gave up flying them; even though they can sometimes get a bit cantankerous. (the planes that is, not the pilots!)

All those beautiful built-up scale R/C models in the Club but when it comes to Control Line, everyone takes the cheapo way out with Planks and Profiles. Why is it..? Deplorable.
