I am astounded every week by the encyclopedic repertoire of hymns you have committed to memory, your ability to sight read and arrange on the spot the few hymns you are not familiar with, and your willingness to play for us every Sunday evening - especially after putting in a full day playing for 2 services and teaching a Sunday school class. Add to that the recording of CDs, arrangement of music, traveling to guest appearances, etc that you do, it makes a fellow wonder where you get the energy! Thanks for all you do.

Thanks so much for playing “Trust in the Lord”! Ron Hamilton is dealing with dementia these days, and his wife Shelly posted a while back that this is one of the few of his songs that he can still play. She posted a video on Facebook, and it was so precious. Since then, I’ve had the song on my heart. 💕

David , did they all die of natural causes ? Or was there a tragedy ? God’s blessing on you David. My mother had two babies in succession who died shortly after birth. She was advised not to try to conceive again. She was ‘too weak and delicate’. She did not take the advice . She had 12 more children. All are healthy. Youngest now is 60 ! I am praying that those not following the Lord Jesus will surrender to him before they go to judgement. Please ask the Holy Spirit with my pleas - to touch their hearts that they would accept Jesus the Saviour and Lord as their Redeemer.

Spafford was a Unitarian, and his move to Israel was to start a commune and cult based on Unitarian teachings. When he died, his wife became the yogini of the cult. They were NOT born again people. All true Bible believes who knew them personally avoided them like the plague. Check this out in Wikipedia. I too used to get the warm fuzzies when I sang It is Well, but now the hymn is revolting to me because of Spafford's heresy. Romans 16:17 applies here.

I agree with you. I get so discouraged. It’s hard to find worship service that is quiet and peaceful with organ and piano instead you have to listen to guitar, drums, bases and whatever else they can find to play. And the lyrics are mostly the same lines repeated over and over again. BTW I’m an 82 year old retired church pianist.
