Hello Kayla! Worship leader here! When I was learning worship piano, it helped a lot to learn scales. It sounds boring, but it's truly the key (no pun intended) to understanding what you're playing. More specifically, the major scales. Start with a key that you know already. Two easy ones to begin with are C or G. Learn them as single notes and as chords (you'll understand once you dig into it). Learn the *why* behind the chord progressions and you'll start to connect the dots between other songs with the same chords. After being comfortable with knowing what you're playing, start thinking ahead *while* you're playing. What I mean is, if you're in one chord (let's call it point A), think of the next chord you're about to play (point B). Now, simply get creative on how to get from A to B and from B to C and so on. The possibilities are endless but there's lots of "formulas" to different types of progressions depending on the chords and the song. Two last tips: learn the number system! It goes hand in hand with the major scales and I can't stress how helpful it is when playing with others or simply learning songs. You'll start to notice patterns in songwriting and it'll help learning songs faster. Second, once you're comfortable with your scales, look up what "passing chords" are and how to apply them. This will help with the creativity behind getting from A to B. That's as simple as I can make it! Make sure you're understanding what you're playing! That way, you can apply the same concepts to any song you're playing and take your skill to the next level. It takes lots of prayer and practice but it's not impossible. Have fun! :)

The iPad is a nice complement although (Organ Rotar fast slow could use an upgrade), but the Mainstage version’s sounds are Totally Spectacular, you all have done a miracle with this converting all the patches to usability in church worship bro David. Hi, David, how is it that your recordings always sound so rich and spacy? I tried the Painted Morning Sky + Guitar Tonic (I even peeked to the nano settings of the recording) but mine sound much more dull and less stereo wide. While I'm listening with my shure se535 directly plugged into my saffire 6 usb on a macbook pro. So whats the secret ingedient???

Thanks for the comment! We understand the hesitation. To make it clear, when you subscribe you get ongoing updates for as long as you keep that subscription active, but you're able to turn off auto-renew at anytime. When that happens you won't lose access to anything you already have, that'll keep working for the long-run! Think of it more like a magazine subscription than Netflix.
