This year's winter has been the warmest Joburg winter ever. It was very cold for 2 weeks at the beginning of June. I hope remains like this through July.

As soon as Chase learns something new in his math class he should go over it that day when he gets home and then go over it every day thereafter for short periods of time. It will stick in his head for the next test.

Hi fam. All tortoises are protected by law in South Africa and may not be killed, captured or kept in captivity. The only reason to pick one up would be to remove it to a place of safety from a position where it was unlikely to survive - e.g. - a busy road or from the threat of an approaching fire.

SA winters can be varied but I must say this one has been warmer than most although no matter how cold there are always blue skys. I just wanted to thank you, I also don't eat pork, for letting me know about the beef rashers at Woolworths!! They are delicious!! Thank you ❤❤

You should get a Solid pool cover for winter, keeps the pool cleaner, less maintenance and safe for insects and animals from falling in.

Thank Goodness they don't go to school in winter, people are really lucky out there back then while still leaving in Namibia we would have to go to school in the dark and loose hand gloves, hats and you would freeze when you get in class because the door had to be left open and you know that sadc breed of wind was so strong and I still do believe that's it's strong because of the Atlantic ocean anyway guys keep warm guys And thank you for the one hour vlog And you can add active recalling for your studies it really helps you can check it out on KZbin how it works and you should practice math everyday

I don't think so. Washing dishes as children is such a South African thing. She should get a dishwasher for convenience but the kids must learn to wash dishes and clean after themselves like all our parents thought. I still live by these same rules at almost 40.

I heard of a butchery here that cuts meat. I don't know about a farm. The beef bacon 🥓 is AWESOME, though. I heard of it in the States, but we could never find it anywhere.

Hello you all I remember raising my sons who are grown men right now doing great in life and careers , I might add! But Chase reminds me of them however Chase has an advantage of living in South Africa 🇿🇦 some people will never make the trip to the motherland! Being well travelled is a level of life comes in handy helps you to adapt to others and understand different cultures! Math there is probably milligrams and stuff The USA didn’t make us learn it unless you were maybe a doctor or pharmacist. I tried the dog thing it was a disaster no no ! lol 😂 Chase remember nothing from nothing leaves nothing…I used to love that song! I have a daughter as well she is older than all the 3 sons lol me and she are close!!! Do miss them much my Janet Jackson voice lol 😂!!!1🇿🇦🇺🇸

You're absolutely correct! 💯 Most will not take the trip. It's ONLY after visiting when you realize that there really is a better way of living outside of Ole Girl 🇺🇸 We were duped into believing that it doesn't get any better. Unfortunately, a lot of them will remain under that delusion. We miss family and friends too, but not enough to move back! 😆😅🤣 In the words of Chase, 'We miss our family, but not America'.

I still wanna meet you all black Americans when I come up to Gauteng in December after school. I wanted to say that there is a thing about pet tortoises in SA because I had two and they were the best. You know they are cold-blooded creatures so you will have to keep them warm, even since it is winter.

@OurJourney2SouthAfrica My daughter is in the 5th grade in SA. I think it's equivalent to the 7th or 8th grade in the USA. Yep, the math is tedious. Reminds me of school in Jamaica.

@OurJourney2SouthAfrica The South African school system is similar to the " third world" schools. We are hardly spoonfed, and we depend on memorization. I still can recite the first 20 elements of the periodic table after learning it 30 years ago in Jamaica.
