I've known of Skinny Ouppy forever, Im 37. But I'm finally in a possition buy buy all of their CDs, I'm not gonna use apps or youtube. Right now I'm really digging tracks 5 and 7 on "Bites". This music is changing my life. I've been through a lot to get to the point where I can just relax like a kid and go into this new music like a videogame or a book. I feel like I really missed something important that I wish had been in my life. I'm going to introduce as many people as I can to Skinny Puppy. I think there will be a time when they are bigger then ever.

This opening conversation resonates so much with me. I was into alternative and "underground" music in high school in the mid-80's, but just what the radio and the hip kids were into. Then in 1985 I met a girl at a party who played me Cabaret Voltaire and I was blown away and started exploring...when I got to Skinny Puppy a couple of years later, my head exploded and everything changed for me. Like Richard, I can't overstate how powerful that experience was. And the first Skinny Puppy song I heard: God's Gift (Maggot). So powerful and groundbreaking.

Great live chat! cEvin, I'd love to hear you do more movie scores! Or, better yet, I think you could do a hell of a number on video game scores. A lot of games these days drop the music in favor of atmosphere, but I just get the feeling that you would be able to score that atmosphere in a much more creative way.

hard to believe its been like 23 years ago riding around with my x-fiance and take a picture would come on and she'd sing along and be like wtf is he even singing. i was the industrial and metal guy, she was into hiphop and rap n shit. but now that im old, like 20 years flies by and aint shit. Cevin is the most humble genius and Richard is like all of us fans saying what we all feel. I hope to hear anything from them soon. 🤘
