HOW HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS VIDEO BEFORE??? I have seen SP many many many times (I'm in my late 50s, I have all of you signatures on things). I've seen you (Cevin 🤘🎹🎶) many times solo. I'm a patreon. You are the literally the person that introduced me to Dub, which is kind of backwards if you think about it. How did you get into Dub? "My industrial friend" Awesome, glad I found this.

This is incredible, thank you so much for the deep dive on such a classic record and my favorite SP album. I’d love to see you do this for Music For Cats, which I consider a gold standard in electronic music!! Thanks again!!

How the people within this realm of creating have helped me cannot be explained within short stories. The dots..puppy..diwnload...Phil. simon.allen...just the tip of names I have come to know as friends. Thank you fir what you do always. From helping me to allowing me to be a part of the dots art team last album to just being there in the fearful unknown to me to sound as a beacon and reminder to never stop creating

I also first heard this on cassette. I put it in my Walkman and went to mow the lawn. Even with the mower noise I was floored right off the bat by Convulsion.

cEvin seems like quite the packrat/archivist (and we love him for this). He's not the type to get rid of any artifacts that have accumulated over his journey. I highly recommend Hilt's "Journey to the Centre of the Bowl" album for a more alternative, experimental "Band" experience from cEvin and co. It's more light hearted than Skinny Puppy Fave tracks: Bird watcher, Super honey, El Diablo, World's going down Jim Cummins (Too Dark Park, Last Rights) did the artwork Worth a listen!

SRG was so enthralling and inspirational. One of his techniques that registered with me was the juxtaposition of crisp tiny typeset against a broad out-of-focus background. It's like the visual equivalent of hearing a wall of noise, like white noise in a building, and it's the little disembodied sounds, like a voice or a ping, that end up standing out.

You cant just listen to one track. The whole album is a dense painting that needs to be taken in. A masterpiece! Never has an album cover fully expressed the music as well as this cover. They completely compliment each other for a complete piece of art.

As to the “meaning” of the title, I always thought Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse was supposed to evoke “mind-fuck”; like consciousness / self-awareness is a never ending mind-fuck.

"Icebreaker" was the scariest, just like Cheech & Chong's "Ear Ache My Eye" (the rock performance part) was the creepiest thing I heard. I don't know if it's the weird chord/note progressions that just sound so mentally perverted. The music starts with something relatively safe and then it runs off a cliff. Horror fiction has to do the same, it has to establish confidence and trust in the audience before it can betray that trust in order to get a horrified reaction.

The album that started it all for me. Lent from a girl I had a crush on in 10th grade. Never got anywhere with her. Also the sound I have always been chasing with my music while trying not to sound like I'm ripping it off.

This record is among my favorite of all time. I just love listening to this on night drives. "Min 5 of Burnt with Water is so great" ^ meaning at this point of the track it starts sounding like a jam session. I find myself trying to focus on everything at once. ✌️
