Dude you're so fast. Hitting low 5's at the end of a 20 miler is insane. I know you're aiming high to qualify for trials so these times are probably normal to you, but from an everyday runner (me) you are insanely fast!! Kudos bro.

Get down to his body weight and you'll be not as fast but maybe half (as fast). Not saying it's all weight, but it definitely plays a big role.

Adam... 1) Get the ego and negative out. That's not meant to sound harsh. Don't take it the wrong way! Everybody has ups and downs! It's a learning process! 2. Run according to plan. Thats a very tough one! You're feeling good or stressed. You just want to drop the hammer. Don't worry you'll get opps in other runs. 3. During the plan, you get to know your body and performance better than anyone on Earth, because you feel the highs, lows, aches, pains, etc. Strategic plays within your plan, will make things fun and sometimes surprise you! 4. Keep your goal always on your plate. Just believe in your plan and watch the pieces fall together! 5. The biggest one... Have fun and enjoy the progress. Don't beat yourself up if something didn't go right. Learn from the experience and make adjustments. KEEP IT UP!!! BELIEVE AND YOU WILL GET THERE!!!!!! I'm a big follower! YOU WILL GET THERE! BELIEVE IN THE PROCESS!

See you at CIM! If this is your first time running it, prepare for rolling hills the first 14ish miles then it kinda flattens out with one small hill at mile 21. You're going to crush it! 💪🏾

I have always went back and forth from having a good season to a bad one. For me, I tend to over-celebrate a good A-race and then get a bit complacent the next season. Usually the next season I'll still train hard, but with less focus and attention to those little details that make the difference, so I end up falling short of my goal. That failure then eats at me all of next season, driving me to really hone in on those details once again and make a new leap forward. It's really tough to get around that one; staying hungry after a major success is extremely difficult.

A lot of your runs are in the 5:10 pace. I love running fast but I heard zone 1 and 2 training should be the bulk part. What's your opinion? Thanks for showing us your running life😊

What is the single biggest metric for success in long distance running in your opinion? Weekly mileage, tempo runs, v02max workouts etc?
@ambiguousheadline826311 ай бұрын
I think technically it's weekly mileage by statistics because there are very few people who aren't fast that are still running the same mileage at pros. But that doesn't necessarily mean that doing lots of miles will make you a pro, it's more of a consequence of being fast already. If someone who runs a 3hr marathon starts doing 100 mile weeks they're gonna get injured, not suddenly run 2:20 after a single block of training.

INFLUENCE IS INTERPERSONAL AND SOCIAL POWER. Every individual influences everybody around him to some extent throughout his life. Paradoxically, he can be a beneficial influence on some persons and a harmful influence on other persons. How he influences other persons depends on the free will of the other persons, all of whom have freedom of choice. Ironically, he may intend to beneficially influence a person but actually harms him. Parents do this to their spouses and children, teachers to their learners, and friends to their friends. Everyone is controlled by Social Hypnotism and plays The Social Game. Everyone conforms to social norms and taboos, and thereby lives an individual lie. Their reality is a socially constructed illusion.
