Do you stop and consume your carbs? Or do you do it literally while running?
@AdamWoodRuns2 күн бұрын
I do it while running! Gotta save time in the race anyway you can!
@stevethach33402 күн бұрын
Bro I was thinking the same! For you, do you have a support person ready to give water / electrolytes / carbs when you need it? Because you’re not running with a vest or anything right? I’m much stronger when all I’m doing is running, but I’m still trying to strategize how to fuel on my long runs without carrying everything myself

I’m in xc this year and my first race I did really bad on and my 2 nd one I did I improved by 5 min and at my 3rd one (last week) I sprained my ankle really bad and I started to cry when it happened and an opposing coach told me to keep running which made it worse and now I can’t go to practice at all this week and I’m gonna miss 2 meets💀so be careful and stay safe y’all😭😭

do you use gels on your 10-12 mile runs?
@Jake_Ritter4 күн бұрын
Not sure about the 1080s but the Clifton’s and the pegs and the invincibles suck in my opinion. Everyone has their different preferences though 🤷♂️

Love the video, man! For gels, I am really benefiting from BPN’s Go gels. I do one regular (mixed berry are good) and then one Maerten caffeine for a total of 6 gels for the marathon. Get them in early, every 20-25 minutes and good to go. (I’m obviously not an elite and almost twice your age! But it works for me) it’s been a journey finding gels that work for my gut.

Bro you look like skeletor, you're def not getting enough calories per day
@kellenscott5554 күн бұрын
Man you always have excuses whether it’s fatigue, injury or poor racing tactics….too many of your daily cals come from fat and you’re not able to to metabolize the carbs you’re eating. You need to rebalance your gut microbiome. You have the same body type as the Kenyans but your diet is garbage processed food (carbs saturated in seed oils). Why don’t you just eat whole foods like they do?

Like the format...keep it! Fueling options: science in sport (sis) believe they are 40g of carbs so might not take as much (ie: belly not as full). Also Skratch has a liquid carbs that I've tried but that would allow you to adjust serving size and such (I've only used it once so far but wanted to throw it out there). Precision hydration is another I've seen used. Keep it up!
